this markelle fultz situation is so odd.

i didn't know anything about this situation so it led to a google wormhole where i ended up learning about "the yips", a condition recognized in golfers, baseball (usually pitchers), and some other sports that require repeated precise movements. i wonder if any skaters that have fallen off have had it been due to the yips?

Pretty sure yips is just a catch all term that means you can't disconnect a bad memory to something you were able to normally do before.  So yeah, I'm sure there are plenty of skaters that just stopped doing big stuff or skating altogether after getting a bad injury.

I had the yips on kickflips for years,  it was horrible, but my switch flips developed so much because of this.
fakie flips fs flips, bs flips, were fine, just horrible rock flips. It took me training my brain to re learn how to kf properly

The LaVine Gordon one was legit but the whole dunk comp thing needs the cobwebs dusted off. Shitty props that don't add to the dunk need to go.

I felt that this year contestants were just redoing older winning dunks specifically Nance and Vince Carter dunks, I thought the double tap off the glass Larry Nance Jr did deserved to take home the trophy.

I'm excited to see the actual all star game tomorrow should be interesting with the new format

the dunk contest should be more casual like a skateboarding best trick contest. x amount of dudes on the court feeding off each others dunks. no solo shit. more like a freestyle/cypher.

What's going on with the Pistons? I thought trading for Blake guaranteed them a spot in the playoffs.

They really don't have many reliable players.  That and Blake isn't much of a star anymore, especially without CP3 making plays for him.

Except vince can still get up.  Blake posts himself up into double teams and either chucks an ugly ass hook or turns it over.

Kinda missing my point.

Vince was unstoppable and later flipped a switch and decided to wear a headband and only shoot 3's, who dropped from epic star to mediocre in record time

Word, I just dislike comparing Vince to Blake.

also, blake is 29, and vince is 41, Blake sorta shut down a bit earlier than vince.

It's  been nothing but injuries all season around the league, I was really excited to see what Kyrie could do these playoffs.

Who's going to take that spot in the West? My money's on the Timberwolves. I'd like to see if D-Rose has anything left and prove us wrong. Just crazy to think how injuries got him at such a young age.
