A resounding yes..

Hoping this goes the distance. So keep on with the Locker room rituals, Indy lol

Coach Carlisle also tuned up the pistons right before they won it all in 03-04... Larry Brown had taken over. If Indy wins it, might be in the convo for one of the GOAT coaches. Won it all with two franchises..
[close]

Obviously Carlisle’s doing more with less, but Phil Jackson won 6 with da Bulls and 5 with the Lakers… Pat Riley won with the lakers and the Heat too.

I didn't say he was the GOAT... i meant he's up there if he wins. I wouldn't put him above either of those two. Or  Red Auerbach.. plenty of coaches i have ahead.

Quoting another poster without commenting anything yourself is the most annoying form of virtue signaling on the internet IMO. Just so lazy.

huge game tonight. i think whoever wins this one wins the series. Pacers up 3-1 would be tough to come back from. and OKC being up 2-2 going back home with momentum would be big. Let's go Thunder

Fair, it’s also an impressive list to be a part of either way winning chips with two different teams.

Did not see that coming. 12-1 in the final few minutes is the exact opposite of what I’m used to.

Fuck yes OKC pulled a Indy on Indy and delivered down the stretch in the 4th.

Again bench guys were huge .

This year’s playoffs continue to deliver excitement, what a game and now the NBA championship will be a best 2 out of 3 and OKC has home court advantage again.

This is going to be good.

Gonna need a detailed field report, specifically how did you manage to breathe when the air got sucked out of the arena while the Thunder closed out the game on a 12-1 run?

Not gonna lie. It sucked but when we found out Scott Foster was officiating we kinda knew what was coming. Rick didn’t help things by not challenging some of the calls just to keep holding on to some of those calls. Myles was way too passive and missed free throws didn’t help us either.

Did Scott Foster miss all those shots in the fourth quarter causing the Pacers to only score 17 points?

He must have made Mathurin brick those free throws, though.

Probably responsible for the 23 points off of 16 turnovers too.

Come on dude, there were shitty or questionable calls both ways in this entire series so far, the Pacers imploded last night when they were up 10 and couldn’t make a bucket or a free throw  to save their lives when it mattered and blew a chance to go up 3-1 and basically win the title, as a Knicks fan I know firsthand what choking looks like , it happened last night, sorry you had to see it in person.

Hali 0-6 from the field and only 4 points from free throws. I know his leg was injured but still. T. J. McConnell almost brought them back, but two chokes in a row for Indy.

Jalen Williams WENT OFF! I’m not an OKC fan, but dude was unstoppable.

First time the Pacers lost back to back games since early March, what a time for that to happen.

OKC up by 18 and Pacers cut it to 2 man I was having flashbacks but too much J Dub and SGA down the stretch plus turnovers once again killing Indy.

Also Carlisle should have put back TJ in the game way earlier down the stretch than he did, TJ was the reason they even had a chance to comeback, bad coaching move there.

Again what a game from Jalen Williams with the 40 piece, dude is very studly the last three games.

Really hope OKC closes out in Indy, teams that go up 3-2 in the finals have won the title 74% of the time, so there’s that.

Interesting to read that you as a Pacers guy (at least in this series) feel like this was a choke job. They led 12-11 with 9:05 to go in the first and then trailed all the way through. Yes, they cut it to two at one point, but to me that's more of a failed comeback than a choke job. (And as a Knicks fan I kind of consider myself an authority in that matter.)

With all due respect, that Haliburton game was simply atrocious. It's the finals. Everybody has gone through 90+ games. Everybody's hurting one way or another. If he's out there, he's got to deliver. Or face rightful criticism for putting up an 0-fer. I get he's unselfish. I get he's the engine that makes this whole team work in the first place. But guess what: If you're the engine, and you're sputtering to 4 points in the biggest game of your career, you failed miserably.  Basketball is a game that is won by the team that scores the most points, not the team with the guard that makes the most "right" plays.

... As evidenced by SGA and J-Dub. That was Michael and Scottie-esque. Pure basketball brilliance.

Fair enough, but Indy has been consistently killing it in Q4 and last home game they fell apart in the final minutes with a 12-1 streak from OKC. Last night Hali might as well have sat the game out. I’d be shocked if we don’t get a game 7. OKC is clearly the better team, but with Hali’s dark magic I could see them being that 24% who makes a comeback.

@Cuban_Lynx For sure. 24% also isn't a slim chance by any means... Let's be honest, if we as skaters can do a trick one time out of four tries we probably count that as a trick we can do. So of course the Pacers can still win it. I would't even be surprised at all if the Pacers eke it out somehow. But I also think the Thunder are capable of blowing out Indiana at home. That's the beauty of sports, isn't it? We've actually got to see it play out.

For sure, they ran Cleveland and New York off the court. T. J. McConnell is 10 years older than everyone else and he had the most hustle. I'm seriously doubting Pacers lose 3 in a row at home, but anything is possible.

@scab The 2016 Cavaliers came back from 3-1 deficit against Golden State, so 3-2 is possible as long as Hali comes through. I still can't get over ZERO field goals last night. They need to get Triple H courtside again.

TJ reminds me of a 90s guard... straight hustle. You might've seen this, but this made me a fan..

Big thing about the Busses is they aren’t liquid rich, so I’m sure she and the brothers will be happy to be able to finally live it up and not through whatever weird avenues they were able through the trust.   She stays on as governor and the new owner has a reputation for spending and star-accrual like Jerry did, so it makes sense

Thunder down 22 at halftime, possibly the worst display of basketball at the worst possible time so far in this year’s playoffs.

Too many Pacers threes and too much bench as usual, but this time it’s the turnovers killing OKC instead of Indy.

Unless some insane shit happens in the second half we are headed for game 7 on Sunday, should have known this series would come down to one game for the title.

I’m not invested in either team winning but this is the best finals series in years. Finally a truly competitive finals
