video was amazing

but wat on earth was the trick greco did over the flat gap after the switch flip five o on the electrical box? fs pressure flip? WTF??
[close]

I don't know! I'm glad that I wasn't the only person that had to stop and rewind like 4 times and still couldn't figure it out.
[close]

the only logical conclusion is that he perfected the illusion flip (made it appear even more so like a hardflip, while flipping in fact the opposite way) FUCKING AMAZING
[close]

I don't remember that one so now I have to go back and watch it again. Poor me. What about Ellington's pressure flip at the library?
[close]

I thought that was a varial heel over the flat gap

also Ellington's pressure flip was amazing, I'm hoping for a very tasteful pressure flip comeback
[close]

i think its one of these (mullen influence)

if that's what it is you can barely tell his back foot flips it back over...insanity
You should never trust a man who claims he doesn't know about free internet porn.

Greco had the best part. Lizard's part made me feel like I was in purgatory--poopy trick selection with questionable makes here and there. All the other parts were good.

This video is a breath of smoggy LA air, it gets all the small shit right.

Editing was so on point, everything is just paced so well and there wasnt a single song that didnt fit. Those snoop and slayer songs would be unusable in other videos. Even that disco song in the beginning is well placed, not too many people even know whats up with that stuff or how to make that come off the way it did. A lesser person wouldve just gone with a greatest hit.

Felt like a cross between a slave video and an old zero vid in the best way possible. after mind field there were lots of big companies that tried too hard to do quirky stuff and it ruined their videos. This is the first time in a long time where a major release didnt try to get wacky and just did the whole thing without unnecessary/poorly contrived flair.

awesome friends section and pre credits montages. Surprise tom penny and geoff tricks! who was that dude going down that hubba at mach 3 and ollied to the next one? that was sick. The last time there was a legit friends montage in a major video was bag of suck.

Neen is a hero.

These guys make a very strong case for inward heels.

They also apparently hold the property rights to D7. the baker/deathwish dudes are the only ones who actually skate that spot.

finally some switch tricks on rails and hubbas that look good. Lots of dudes do them but they look like shit. When you get people who really like skating this stuff, it makes the video. Theses guys are about skating gaps and smashing rails and thats what makes it better. You cant replicate that.

Furby and moose just have that LA vato vibe and get gnarly. The amount of flips that go down into rails is crazy, i still think moose should not have let go of that nollie flip gap to crooks. That was a cool trick.

Two antuwan tricks, bummmer. I was still hoping they were gonna surprise everyone with an antuwan part. Oh well.

Neen fucking has that style and its awesome. People can talk shit but he lays it down. The tricks are cool but its the way he does them. He bones em out a little extra sometimes but it looks sick.

Lizard king got crazy tricks in this, its fun yet gnarly. Hippie jumps a rail down some stairs and gaps part of a hubba. Im not sure about some of this front foot business but the whole gap to disaster/firecracker thing is sick.

Grecco fucking kills, he does the best 270 lip variation ever, nobody does those things with that kind of speed. Dude ollies a car too. Those darkslide combos came out of the blue, i was not expecting all of that. For the most part its sick but his ender is on a rail that doesnt count. Sorry. I hate it when people get tech on 5 stair rails and act like it was some hot shit. Find a ledge man, those baby rails suck. Ellington's ender was a real rail, thats the real deal. put that in your book of standards and suck it grecco.

i liked his part though, it kinda blows my mind theres even a discussion about someone switch darksliding a rail. It is definitely the year two thousand thirteen.

Ellington still got that style. The ender was sick. Thaats how you make a switch trick on a rail look good.

Dickson and slash killed it, just really good stuff. every part had an ender quality to it. Dicksons last gap into that bank was nuts. Some people say they want to see the full run up and landing for every trick. I think they dont realize how boring it makes stuff look when you do that. Im glad they did quick cuts of some of the simpler stuff and gave some breathing room for the big shit.

I dunno, just get the video. I hope this marks a comeback to cleaner editing. Its VX and yet its filmed better that most of the HD clips that get shot, thats not really a testament to the VX, but more to the power of good framing and editing.

Was stoked to see my childhood friend Ben get that early grab 50-50 on the Hollywood rail in the friend's section.
This video is rad as fuck. Lizard's part is gnarly and unique as hell...I can't imagine most of those tricks....meaning, I would never think of them. Definitely inspired/high as hell.

Question: did Ellington do a big pressure flip in his section? Watched it a couple times and couldn't be sure.

Thanks man. Yeah, I wasn't sure if I could believe my eyes. I said it about a year ago...pressure flips are going to come back. Thank God...only trick I could ever do with any consistency. I think that says more about the trick, though, because it's easy as hell and basically horrible. But fun.

Grego's ender should have been the 50-50 transfer down that steep bank. I think it would have made his part better but I do like how he totally did stuff you never really see him doing. Almost seems like he got influenced by Mariano or something with all that bank to bench sttuff. Really dug his part and more so cause I am not a huge fan of Greco's skating.

Like people are saying, everyone had a standout part. I am not a fan of Furby but the way he pops those nollie flips are just fucking sick. Lizard is tight. Total contrast from all the guys that ride from Deathwish. Moose did some fucked up tech shit but for some reason since he is not Mike Mo, no one will really take notice. Slash's ender was sick as hell but wish there was a fast motion version of it. Ellington's part was good. I've never been into him but ever since his Baker 3 part, I've been loving his stuff ever since.

So many headphones in this video.  Didn't realize it before, but pretty much the whole team rides for the same shoe company, Supra.  I'd say it's worth the $9.99 if you think Deathwish is cool, but not really worth it if you're not a fan because the vid probably won't convert you.

Greco, THIS GUY IS AN INSPIRATION, guy was addicted to alcohol+oxy+shrooms+acid+misc for years.. pills and managed to release one of the best parts off all time. Darkslides are back he had atleast 5 different variations and they were cool as shit. Aside from that the style and hammers Greco pulled were unbelievable.
uh..... the dude was addicted to heroin... not just booze. plus i don't think it's even possible to be addicted to psychedelics... they're just fun. i guess you weren't around for his comeback ad that said 'no more speed-balls' or something a long those lines. & reynolds used to smoke crack. look at those dudes now. they may have never completely fallen off but in my book they are mariano status all the way.

greco had best part. alley-oop 180 nosegrind revert on the bank to bench was my favorite trick. nollie tre & rick flip bricktown 10. fakie tre over a hydrant in a line! this part is ridiculous & makes it hard not to go skate.

slash's part was another favorite. can't really think of too many spoilers. a perfect kickflip on the big double set tony cerventes always skates. nollie full cab flip on a hip. a line with front crook to switch bs 5-0. crook on the double set rail & full cab nosegrind were some of the heaviest tricks in the video.

neen's part was pretty sick. i'd grown a little tired of the guy but, this part was tight. nollie bs noseblunt a famous out ledge. nollie bs lip the wall rail at long beach court house. fakie heelflip over a rail everyone skates over. fakie hardflip long beach belmont 9. switch/fakie inward heel down a 4 block, heelflip bs 5050 on wilshire 10... lots of crazy stuff. skates to the cramps. backin' it.

moose is fuckin' good. rick flip manny revert. nollie heel bs 5050 on wilshire, nollie flip fs nosegrind on a handrail.... sheeit.

furby was dope. nollie full cab flip long beach belmont 9. kickflip that huge double set somewhere over seas that reynolds ollied & rowley gap to 5050d. bs flip over the rail at rincon. sw bs flip brea in a line. big shit.

montage was dope. a line from penny! spencer hamilton does a fs flip over a ledge to switch crook.

lizard... gnarly shit & gg allin. that is all.

ellington - classic fucking style as always. bigspin fs nose the hubba jake johnson switch front blunted. perfect nollie flip on the 6 block in san jose that reynolds fakie flipped. for some reason i've always expected him to switch flip tail clipper someday, i thought it'd be in this one.... no luck. i'll keep wishing.

jon dickson - this guy can do every fucking trick. such a ridiculous part. dude is powerful, the kind of skateboarder who really makes a sound when doing a trick. definitely deserves going pro. hugest gap to rails. the last 10 tricks or so are super heavy. the long beach kickflip blew my mind.

video was great. no over the top hi-jinx, editing, music or anything like that. every part sort of just blends together no matter who it's changing to/from. makes you want to skate. jim & erik really did this one right.

imagine fucking the dog shit outta chris roberts

Definitely the best soundtrack for a skate video in a LOOOOONG time. I never thought I would be able to take a GG Allin song seriously after Koston in Chomp, but it worked perfectly for Lizards part. Greco + Slayer = perfection. Shit even though the Snoop Dogg was a bit out of place in the video it was perfect for Furby with the 'twuan clips. I have to say my favorite part was Slash, who has won me over after hating his part in that Pig video. Not much to say that hasn't been said, but this vid is definitely gonna be my go to viewing for awhile...

One thing that I really loved about this video is how hard Greco and Ellington went for it. That totally could've come out with short parts or weak stuff since they're running Deathwish too and they've put out so many parts over the years, but they worked really fucking hard and it showed.

That wasn't bricktown. This is bricktown.

whoops you're right. i forget what people call that spot. it's the same one reynolds did like 10 tricks on in baker 3.

& that crook was the best. that's a dream spot/trick.

I think you mean the westwood 10 or something like that. Its in Westwood in LA. That set is comically small for 10 stairs. The tricks down it were still sick though.

I've been sitting on an Itunes gift card for months and I finally used it to get this video, shit was great. They did a good job not making it another Baker video.

I watched slash's ender like 20 times

I bought the video today from my local shop, and thought it was pretty good. I expected alot better from all the hype on here. I can't say I enjoy the Neen ninja kick style though.
