so whats the general consensus on jerons clips?

Jeron killed. I never was really into him in his early career and then he came out with his DVS part that I liked. His part here was cool.

So like 7 people had this video on either their iPads or iPhones at the skatepark today.  General consensus is that MJ's part officially puts him in the most consistent skater of all time as far as footage quality over the years (an award that was previously a tie between Koston and Reynolds).

The electro pop music needs to go. plain and simple

I wish the whole video was edited like MJ's part but I guess I understand what Ty goes for in trying to do something new or unique to each video he does.

True.

Doing his job the way a person begrudgingly does his at mcdonalds. He came through with some tricks but i dont think this part lives up to any of the hype thats surrounded him since he started getting sponsored by people. Im not really sure why he gets the ammount of air time he does on epicly later'd.

Jeron's part was pretty sick. I enjoyed it thoroughly; the man is still killing.

After five or so viewings I still feel that Corey Kennedy had the best part.  MJ is consistent and always enjoyable to watch, Guy killed it, but Cory's part was just fun as hell to watch.

oh man, girlchoclate got star power for sure...

Anyways, some of the parts had too much bs in it
but my favorites had to be Olson's shared part, Perez (caught me off guard, didn't know how good he really was), and MJ because 5 years was perfect for him.

I wonder how much extra stuff gino has, I'm pretty sure a lot of us would be satisfied with a "sub-par" gino part made up of "throwaway footage"

oh and the songs were mostly meh, but not terrible
[close]

in the bonus gino had like 4 clips i think, two of them were lines. Pappalardo had 2 tricks, a wallride on this glass bank, and a grind  this wooden rail into a bank. I dont understand why ty didnt put these two tricks of Pappalardo in the actual video when he put in only one of castillio. Castillio had like 3 more tricks in the bonus and two of them were actual pretty tech manny tricks

Gino has a flatground fliptrick, the clip pushing with guy, a line at the seaport from the screengrab quartersnacks posted, and a bank trick at house of vans. pappalardo has the glass wallride in china from one of the first china articles in the skateboard mag back when, and a fifty on the ledge in china from his five-0 chocolate ad.

Any Rick Howard in the bonus? I find it odd that he didn't have at least one clip in the video. Maybe that whole hidden part thing is actually true. or maybe its just wishful thinking..

When they were here last summer he told me an Easter egg was in the works, but who knows what went down in the end.

the pace at which sean malto skates is coma inducing

is that too fast or too slow?
I'm gonna assume fast because he was doing rail tricks left and right

anyways, rewatched guy's part while not drunk, and gotta say the song really ruined it for me.  Didn't think they could do worse than band of horses

Anyone else notice how almost all of Maltos tricks were filmed in Nikes? Didn't he just get on Nike in 2012? Goddamn.

Instead of filming Cory's face or showing him hugging a bunch of dudes they could have used his switch big heel.

^I'm wondering if his omission from the video has more to do with lack of "Ty quality" footage than him skating.  Right?  Haha

Corey actually had a ton of stuff in the past 4 years that should have been saved for this video. the nollie flip and nollie fs flip over the fence into the driveway in his 'beware of sasquatch' part, along with a couple other tricks in there. A switch heel late shove down a double set, I dunno where that even got used.also a gap to back tail huge gap out on this wooden ledge over grass, from a RVCA tour I think?

Finally got my Blu-Ray yesterday and watched it with the homies.  Video got me stoked and was incredibly surprised to find Cory Kennedy's part to be my hands down fave.  In a video full of the smallest handrails known to man Malto stepped up to some seriously huge ones.  Can't' wait to watch this again and catch all the stuff I missed.  Stoked!

So what's up with the bonus disc? I don't see many people talking about it. Is it that forgettable or did hardly anyone see it yet?

its pretty good, but i wish it was edited differently as well. its pretty much one long montage edited by locations and still has quite a bit of slow mo and shots of people's faces. there is some unused stuff from the older guys, but its mostly dominated by the newer guys.  definitely worth checking out, but i expected it to be a bit different for some reason

All the unused footage is made into a 50 minute montage properly edited with music etc and is actually really good. It's separated into locations as well. The rest is the credits song, and jack black and will Arnett extras which I don't have a clue why they didn't use cause they were way funnier. A little bit more Gino, Koston and the rest of the older ones footage is in the montage but nothing to cream over apart from one Gino line that I loved
''Your talk,'' I said, "is surely the handiwork of wisdom because not one word of it do I understand.''
