the footage hes put out the past few years was way better than his last few foundation part... it'd be cool to see him picked up by someone. im sure after a failed board company and shoe company hes pretty much over being his own boas.

Wasn't there some sort of beef between Ethan and Heath?

I think it would be cool if Ethan got back on stereo. Although he doesn't fit stereo's image (as if stereo even has a direction of image nowadays for that matter), I think it would definitely make their team stand out again and bring back stereo's true roots.

Is this really from 1994? He grew up quick from his Live part if so.

You can actually see the transformation in his part, like towards the end it's already SF footage, tighter clothes and less tech tricks.
Hosin' out the cab of his pickup truck
He's got his 8-track playin' really fuckin' loud

One of my favorites; definitely in my top 5. His Tincan part is also one of my top 5 favorite video parts of all time. Stereo era Ethan was pretty much unfuckwithable; best style ever.

One of my all time favorites on the board, it's funny someone mentioned him influencing their kit, I think anytime I wear all black with shorts and high socks it's an unconscious homage to Ethan.

Remember that weird subsection of the Vans team that was Fowler, Julien, and some other dudes, maybe Wade Speyer?  I feel like the logo was a little pie-chart of sorts?  Those shoes were fucking awesome.

The story about Fowler drinking Jim Beam, and taking speed and acid in his Epicly Later'd just makes me like him more.
example. i cant cast a spelll or love potion on a girl and she falls total in love for me
but i can show a girl my tv youtube clip on my or her phone. but there's a difference ok

nervous breakdown ethan > everyone else

im undecided which era i prefer,
thats life ethan is nostalgic for me because its when i started skating and had him on repeat everyday
but its impossible to overlook nervous breakdown or his stereo days, so raw
makes me wonder if style comes better when young and hungry or established/redefined with age.
im thinking like a time to shine/osiris v. today's overstyled-arm landing dylan here, for example.
at times looks forced

I just want everyone to know that I'm only 32.8% skateboarder, and that's on a good day. The rest is just soy and cum.

Anyone have that tuck-knee photo of Ethan in full on Anton Newcombe gear? I thought it was on Chromeball but can't seem to find it.

One of the best style. "If it doesn't come naturally, then chances are when you force it, it's going to look ugly. I believe in style..."

In a perfect world Ed would put him back on. He's just like Ed where he can do the same five tricks (different from Ed's bag obviously) that'll never get old.

Is this the last footage of him?

Even that casual ollie at the end had style.

Ever since I got that video that 180 50-50 fakie out has been one of my favorite tricks ever!

It was bugging the fuck out of me what those shoes were called, Van Pro Series.  An ad with Julien doing a backside lipslide on a barrier over a hip comes to mind.  That team is fuckin heavy.

I jocked stereo Ethan and Foundation Ethan both super hard. I still wear all black a lot when I go skating which is a direct result of nervous breakdown and art bars. How ever I was kind of bummed on the whole Jim Jones psycho hippy thing. My distaste for hippies led to Ethan's number one spot in my G.O.A.T list being taken over by Tim Upson, Ethan won't be going any lower than 2 though.

Yup I loved them had a black pair & a white pair. He definitely set a few trends. His tincan folklore style is back big time now, in London anyway

I just watched his Epicly Later'd again, I love the part when his cat is rolling around with the mic in it's mouth and he says "Looks like Henry Rollins".
