Damn! They're already doing Ishod dirty. This looks like a mashup of the classics/team edition (whatever they call them these days) and the Ishod.

Reminds me of when they put out that team edition that was a budget Janoski. Nike on not trying to pay royalties

Because they were a pricepoint shoe that was $15 cheaper than the Janoski. You said it yourself, it was a budget version to get the people who might not opt for the Janoski. I know people love shitting on Nike but you guys really think Nike would endeavor to create an entirely different shoe to "cannibalize" sales from one of their most popular SBs of all time? Or is it more likely that they want to sell even more shoes to kids/adults that wanted a budget version of the shoe?

Yes!   The only way this would make any sense if it was a different shoe company trying to siphon Janoski sales away by making a budget version.   As if Nike is that offended by the deals it makes that it can’t possibly sleep at night knowing it let it’s signature athletes get royalties!   


And do people honestly think that this Force 58 shoe, which has existed for some time, is really meant to be cannibalizing Ishod’s shoe which won’t be released for at least another few months?

It’s like their price point sole and I’ve had a few pairs with them.   I have no complaints.

Definitely agree with the sentiments about the sole looking bad. I’m sure performance wise it works fine but I’m definitely not super into the look. The whole upper of the shoe looks not bad. If they put a better looking sole on it then It would be a great looking shoe. Still looking forward to seeing more of it though
