As long as they're building incredible parks and destroying them within the week I refuse to support them.

I think they actually use those obstacles to build new parks for kids, they don't destroy them. Atleast thats what they've done with a couple. But don't worry there's still a lot more reasons to not support the whole concept, although i'm probably gonna watch a couple stops

Does "AST" and "HST" stand for "Hot Sexy Tricks" and "Abnoxiously Skanky Tricks"?

I went to the one in LA last year, and it was the most amazing skateboarding I've ever seen in person.

I watched it the 1st year it was on, and it was pretty tight. Now it's just the same tricks over and over again from each guy.

Only reason to watch now is Bastien.

Would never happen because they do random drug tests to all the olympic athletes and everybody smokes weed

Consistency is key, though. Does that darn cat nail it like this every time, or was this just a lucky "bolts" landing?

we getting one in GA too, Robby Diesel makes bank off the consulting fee or whatever. I also think you'd get a more interesting park design if he didnt. (on the plus side, lil kids dont skate street parks cause parents dont understand them)

and SL is SOOO BORING...

Quik is cutting all the budgets including DC's. DC didn't let them take it, NIKE has way deeper pockets. Dyrdek has been courting NIKE
for awhile. Dyrdek needs NIKE's money and he wants the SL scoring system in the Olympics.

kinda missed the DC ---> Nike transition til you guys pointed it out. Am I missing the Nike logos somewhere or did you just hear it? I honestly looked five times for Nike swooshes and couldnt find them, but at the same time Im so used to seeing the damn thing I probably overlooked it.

Seems like a huge topic of conversation if Nike took over from DC. Seems like DC was working hand in hand with creating this team that had all street league dudes and sponsored the event to help the brand. If they're out of this I imagine it wont be long before they go under and Nike reigns supreme.

I this really what skateboarding has become? corporate jock companies taking over, scoring, being just like every other sport now a days?
What happened to the days of skaters being the scary punk kids? the people everyone hated?
if this keeps going i will hate everything it will become.
