In the new Weekend Buzz with Ellington & Heyl.  Heyl states that he offered to lose his model, to give the other new jacks a chance to shine.  I don't believe that for a second.

I like Braydon.  He may not be the most technically gifted rider, but his style is rad.  I will miss him on Baker.  Hopefully he will get picked up.

This is the unfortunate reality of Skateboard economics.

I do not envy the decisions Andrew has to make.

Braydon is more tech then pretty much all of the riders on Baker.

For one, I can't front 3 stalefish so I wouldn't say anyone can do castillos tricks. Second, baker ain't shit compared to girl in terms of revenue or worldwide exposure. They can easily afford to pay Castillo 4k a month plus royalties just to be a brand ambassador and go chill with kids.

you dont honestly think Daniel Castillo gets $4k a month PLUS royalties, do you?!

The best part about that interview is that apparently Shane Heyle legitimately believed he was a real pro skater.

yeah, and he was trying to show (false) modesty being like "i cant do noseslides forever" like he was gracefully letting go of some long career

and then andrew actually does what he offered (if thats true) and he stil feels a type of way just because drew didnt confirm with him before making the move  ???

The royalties part isn't much when you only get one board graphic every other year

Yeah, he's pro in the same way that someone like lil wayne might have a guest board.

He's marketable as a loud idiot(kids are stupid), but for him to believe that he was a legit pro skater, with the required skills, or worse, for you to buy it, is pretty sad.

I am thinking Shane didn't necessarily think he was good as a skatgeboarder to the general pros out there but more so at least good enough for Andrew to put on and to put his name on a board. There are tons of pros or indie companies that have riders that aren't anywhere near as good as the top pros but if your homie has a company and can hook you up, that is more or less being pro then just skill alone.

the whole interview made me like him a lot more.  It probably is a struggle being one of the sober dudes in the baker crew and he has to cope with it however he can.  Since he cant have footage of him getting buck and partying he just has to create his own image, it just sucks he chose the annoying hype man gone too far
he is the flava flav of skateboarding

Why doesn't just Shane make a Heyl board with his ShakeJunt brand? If he wants boar royalties, put it out there and see if it makes some money. It's not like they never put out a ShakeJunt board before.

I guess I meant to say if he wanted to make money off of his name on a board, just do it with your own company. No need to have it on Baker.

Bummed about Braydon the most. First Emerica, now Baker. Poor dude. I just feel like he cares about Baker a lot, though...
He's been upping his game, too. Front Tail Late Back-foot Flip out was sick.
That NeckFace collection makes me a little sad, 'cause NeckFace had already made Braydon one and everything in this video.

I could see Templeton helping himself to him or Spanky. Money's money in skateboarding, as much as well hate to see crews as such break-up.

Surprised TK wasn't dismissed from that roster, too. As someone said very well earlier in this thread, his shoe is a hot seller and his graphics are always on point and probably do really well because of that. I just think TK could try way harder, though. His parts are all fakie to ledge/handrail footage. I think Andrew's knows too well about his marketability, and would hate risking someone else picking him up and capitalizing on it. With all of Kennedy's endeavors, he probably has a manager negotiating his contracts to prevent from such a thing happening.

i think shane is good and yeah he's repetitive in his trick selection but you cant tell me some of the combos he do are easy tricks half cab crooks to nollie varial heel out and crooks nollie inward heel out.  He was am for stereo back in the day so yeah hes a baker homie but its not like he went from flow to pro and i feel he worked for his spot which i respect.  I feel they should still make boards for him just not every series.  But damn what is Jeff Lenoce gonna do? that dude went hard for his part and interview for the shake junt video, axion is done, no clothing sponsor, etc. back to florida?

Jeff is the crazy one, because he JUST put out the best part of his life. While, let's face it, Spanky and Braydon haven't put out full parts since... when? Baker 3?

Completely agree. Dude was on Lakai, but even that went. I want to know more about this arrangement they have. Are they off completely or are they just pro model-less... ?

Jeff is the crazy one, because he JUST put out the best part of his life. While, let's face it, Spanky and Braydon haven't put out full parts since... when? Baker 3?

They both had full parts in Stay Gold, and some tricks in Bake And Destroy if I'm not mistaken.

I honestly felt the same about Lenoce. Since baker 3 he had a few of his usual tricks and shared parts in the Lakai video, deathwish video, and a decent part in the shake junt video. If anything he had equal amount of footage as Spanky and Braydon since they both had parts in stay gold. Either way their time has expired and the new bucks are taking over the team, same thing with Girl.

Hasn't Braydon mentioned several times that he was going to kill himself if he couldn't ride for Baker anymore?
---I really don't want to see that happen.

Plus. Is any of this official yet? The Baker team page has been down for months...

Although TK is kinda whatever, his lifestyle hammers are as grossly underrated as Ronnie Creager's skating:

Money, fast cars, made it possible for Lizard King to troll BET, fucked Rev Run's daughter, best intro clip in almost every video he's been in, almost knocked some dude out on his "day in the life", gives random white people a motivational speech at the end of Bake and Destroy, the nigga raps for Christ sakes lol.

hell yea, TKs actually pretty good...... I was hating on bake n destroy but his baker has a deathwish part is sick, and he recently crooked that rail in long beach for that supra add...... pretty fucked.
