44 bucks: https://www.oldskullskateboards.com/element-x-peanuts-roy-x-loy-deck-8-46/

Never skated an Element before, but it was on sale, plus its Peanuts!  ;D
[close]

They are BBS and all the Element boards I have were on such a good sale, good shapes, solid wood, etc (just de graphic / painted them and away I went).

Funny about the size though, 8.46 is so random.

Curious if it is about that size, or more likely an 8.5 x 32 with 14.25 wb as stated.

I'll measure and report back.  :) Thank you for your constantly updated "CURRENT WOODSHOP DIRECTORY" thread. Makes buying decks online easy. The local shop is text/call to open, and the owner stopped replying to me. So I guess I'm blacklisted. Idk why, but oh well, online shopping will have to suffice.

The dimensions sound awful close to a Baker B16. I was always curious how similar those Loy Elements were to the Baker shape. I also noticed one of the first Colin Provost Creature decks was the same 8.475x31.875 14.25wb as the B16 though Element and Baker sharing shapes through BBS makes more sense than doing it with Dwindle.

I wonder if he had a random BBS board for the minute that they (Toy Machine) were doing them during the pandemic / shortages and liked it so wanted the same dimensions for his new board.

Easy to replicate a shape or dimensions when you have a new pro board coming out too, but I also wonder if some of the shapes and sizes are an accidental slip of something and they just get what comes out, but find it works for what they want, or they make it a really odd number just to make people stop and go "What the..." like that.

Either way, it should be a good ride.

I'm so sorry. Australia is down far too bad.

For me: copped the justin henry Wayvees and some 58mm classics. Shout out to Mantis for being the only shop brave enough to stock big wheels in Germany

Fairly normal deck prices though.

The AU standard pay per hour is twice what the US is, so it works out closer than you might think.

Where did you get that lot from?

There have been (and still are) some amazing discounts and deals on at the moment for AU shops.

Yeah.

They often have good deals, mostly flat 20% or so off everything, but also have a good sale on now too.

I’ve wanted some Temple Of Skate art to hang up forever, and the local did a run of boards with him, so it looks like I’ve got my first ever wall hanger.

My local gives out tickets at local skate spots in an attempt to get dunks into hands of skaters. Managed to snag this one. First dunk since a hand me down pair when I was a teen. Feels great on feet.

Tiago Lemos Indy mid 144. SW had em for $20 a piece.

I had in mind that these were gonna be lower than my aces. But my aces are lower compared to the stock indys.

The mids came with a black bushings that I can’t stand. I want to put some og Indy bushings - that wouldn’t affect the geometry of the mids would it?

Original or aftermarket indy bushings work fine with the mids. I had to add hard aftermarkets and a friend of mine swapped the black mids bushings with original orange bushings from a standard Indy.

Reporting back with info, the deck just arrived. Old Skull's listed dimensions are incorrect.

I measured the deck, and the imprinted dimensions above are accurate. Fucking cute deck, the snoopy comic on it is adorable. I'm going to feel bad skating it.

Ha yeah so good!

Funny that no single shop I have seen had the dimensions correct, but another place that did have that board listed had a top pic of 8.38 x 32.2 or something else, so I wonder what is going on with some of these board brands too.

Other Element boards are on a 50% off sale at the moment, but as the sizes are a bit funny (and no top pics / correct dimensions listed) it is a bit of a weird one.

Thanks for posting too!

* I am going to copy to the Woodshop thread as well, cause this is of interest there too.

Got the Shin wheels because I have an addiction to changing wheels. For those that don't know, what sets these wheels apart is that they're the OG formula (read: slimeballs) instead of the elites.

Probably clutch.  I’ve skated a lot of Clutch blanks through Chapman, and they feel the same.  I like em; they tend to last me about a month or so

Tactics has a 20% sale going on right now, so….

Three Real 8.28 Harry Lintell pro models. I absolutely live by this deck shape now. I’m on my 4th deck of this exact shape from Deluxe, and now I’m set to have skated 7 of them once I use all of them up. It’s perfect for me and I don’t want to ruin my consistency by switching things up. Non-stained plies because natural wood colored boards looks so nice to me. Mob for the grip because Shake Junt’s QC has dissapointed me lately. I got three sheets from their recent batch of the “Lo-key” grip they have and all of them went bald on me right where the ball of my front foot is. I even had to regrip the same board because of this before. I didn’t like the boards I rode with this Shake Junt grip and I don’t think I gave the boards a fair assessment because the grip was shotty. Maybe I’ll try them again but with Mob and see if my opinion changes. They were FA boards, by the way.

A third pair of the all black Nike SB Blazer Low’s. Skating my first pair now. My second pair is set to arrive tomorrow. I really like how they skate and how they’ve been holding up.

Three pairs of the Kalis Vulc S’s from DC because they were on clearance. I gotta get super glue before I skate them because I already can tell the seams will rip and I’ll have a piece of suede flapping around if I don’t superglue them.

A pair of black Polar 93’s. I love the dark blue pair I have so I pulled the trigger on the black ones.

Allen hardware. Phillips is annoying.

Spitfire Formula 4 52mm 99a in the classic shape. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.

And 4 tees and a beanie to boot.

Quantum Isotope bearings directly from Quantum just to have in case. I didn’t even need a replacement for the ones I’m riding, just didn’t want to have to worry about a replacement when I eventually need one. But hey, I can have two setups with me now. I’m too far gone lol.

I do not regret this at all because now I don’t have to worry about lurking websites for gear I know I’m due to get to replace my current gear. I’m gonna be set for a while now.

Will likely pick up all future versions of the Huffer.

It’s such a sick shape.
Also, it seems to last forever.
Boards of the late ‘80s, very early ‘90s felt like this for me (well I remember the wood being better back when, but that is most likely nostalgia), big shape, concave, steep…could ride those thru wet grass for two months and still ollie.
Anyways, huffer, for me, worked best on 151s vs 159s/169s. Never tried the ace classic 55s. 6.1s would look sick…
