Grabbed a few sets of F4 Classics on sale.

Those 55 mm F4 classics have served me well for the past six or seven months.  Once they hit about 52 mm’s they’re the perfect shape - some sort of conical/radial hybrid.

Yeah that’s what I’m looking forward to. Got them put on now so I can start wearing them down.

after batting between trying new trucks or just getting hollow aces i’ve made my decision. got some ace 55 hollows off parade. Super excited to try em out! probably going to pair em with an 8.3 polar or an 8.5 one

I picked up some 55 hollows a couple weeks ago and threw em on a Polar 8.5”. I think you’ll dig it, I’ve been rotating that with a Manderson with af1 44s as my daily drivers

Polar makes some good shapes for sure

I’ve ridden the polar ace combo before so i’m already expecting great results. How’s the Manderson shape? Been interested in it. Is it more of a full shape/feel like an 8.5 or is it closer to a true 8.3?

The 78a Clouds are mad fun and smooth. But I haven't been able to get a powerslide with them yet and I am not sure it is even possible. Maybe on wet ground?

Manderson I’d say is probably 8.4”. It feels smaller and little easier to flick than my Polar 8.5”.

I really dig af1s on the Manderson but all I ride these days is ace haha. The blunt kicks, squarish nose and tail, good concave are why I like the shape so much. I usually buy 1-2 each krooked drop.

I think you’d dig it if you like the Polar 8.5” and ace combo.

I had that shape as a Guy deck and it's the BBS generic 8.38 but on the mellower side of the press. April seems to have the mellowest generics, Sci-Fi the steepest.

Sorry for the late reply- been out with covid the last few days and didn't see the post/ forgot to reply even though i caught it on the mellower side!
yeah i heard pals talkin on here about cruiser wheels that powerslide and vaguely remember  ricta clouds come up but maybe in harder durometer since they got 86 and 92s too?

If ai can get back out this week ima have to try to powerslide some on them i guess but i don't get my hopes up too much- still great wheels!

I still have a bunch of those lol. My knees started hurting on my third VX board in a row after skating stairs and drops. I think it’s because I’d sometimes land on the tail/nose and it wouldn’t flex when taking the impact.  It could also be because I’m feeling the effects of skating for 25ish years. Since they have the carbon fiber layers they’ll probably stay in good shape for the foreseeable future and I can skate one every now and then. I also have 6 other non-VX boards to skate too. My madness involves buying multiples of things I like

I’ve been curious about the Lynx Zero since they dropped, but I feel like you get what you pay with shoes and saw the $65 price tag as a deterrent rather than a good value. The $75 model with super suede seemed like a better investment, but I also I ain’t paying full price for them. Got some of the first run Grey Day 1010, which are noticeably made from softer suede. Got 2 pairs of the Beef 1010 which feel similar. I had the black/white ones  prior which are a smoother matte suede and definitely felt stiffer. The new Grey Day ones were mega stuff, tongue was kinda wack, and the plastic eyelets seemed hard to pull laces through.

So ya, guess I mostly skate NB now.
