Here’s the skate portion of my Christmas presents to myself. Normally I wouldn’t go shop on Christmas Eve, but local skate shops have always been the exception, especially this year

I got the dimensions on the tail and nose on that new Doomsayers 9.25, and they looked ok for park and tranny, so I scooped one of those. Also got the new Dressen 56mm Mini Combos (101A up from 99a) and a couple of sets of liljawn rails.

I posted that doomsayers IG post in big boy thread, what are dimensions? Look so good
what's the WB? Need a new deck atm...

I run my 55s on 8.75s & the overhang is negligible. Dunno about going with skinnier wood on the 55s though. I wouldn’t, but tha’s jus’ me.

I actually run the 55s on an 8.68 and so far, it's been awesome. I don't really notice the overhang at all.

Finally got some Bones Swiss! Swiss 6 balls, in some new Powell Park Rippers. Initial impression is spectacular. Very fast.

And some Shake Junt Triple OG bearings, which I’m also extremely impressed with for the price.

Got a set of the maglite tensors with some bones bushings, and a set of 51mm tablets. This will be my third set of the tablets. Love them. Excited to try the trucks.

Got some Half Cab pros on sale as i've always wanted to skate Half Cabs and try Vans Pros.  Coming from Blazers, I love them.   Actual cushioning in the heels, super comfy, good support, solidly built.  Loving them.

From what I've noticed , womens definitely appreciate a decent scent. Also know that they depreciate when you smell bad, which is my usual style. From skating or working on the house

shop deck 8.63
bones 56mm wide cut
bones Swiss super 6

éS accel slim
vans berle pro

How's the fit/toe box on the berle pro? Been looking at low tops for summer and have only heard and read bad things about this shoe.

Wish a shop near me had them to try on myself.

Personally, I like em. First off, they’re heavy SOBs. But since I mostly ride pools and transition and not jumping off shit, the weight is moot. As for the toe box, it’s wide. Which is nice because I have a wide foot. And it being a lowtop, the Berle was my go to shoe for just going around and walking in. The sole is grippy, but the complaint about it is the waffle design make it a magnet to pebbles.

Overall, I liked skating the Berle more so than the Walker 1. I want to compare it to the Crocketts, but that’ll be after I’m done skating the Rowans.

Awesome, thank you for the reply and insight. I wouldn't say I have wide feet but some shoes definitely rub my pinky toe, so knowing there's room in the berle means instant buy for me. Most vans have a roomy toe box but just wanted to be sure since like I said, I can't physically try them on anywhere.

The Berle Pro, because of that thick and heavy sole and wide toe box, have made some of the most comfortable work shoes I have had in years. Skating in then would be unconscionable to me though.
