I got those fa x Adidas experiment 1 shoes. I might skate them a little bit but not down to the ground like I do with my typical shoes. They're comfortable actually and surprisingly roomy.

8" Habitat on BBS wood. 14" WB , pretty squared off shape similar to FA/ Older Habitat /AWS

pretty psyched to skate these.

Putting the Girl G027 to rest, just couldn't get into it, everything just felt off, nose too short, tail too long, WB too tight, board too short....8.125" feels too thin, 8.25" feelling too wide (stupid I know we're talking 1/8th of a fucking inch here)

Both 8.18" rest of the dims are pretty scarce, especially on the 917; sour is supposed to just under 32" with a 14.2 WB - only other options are FA (WB = too short) or the REALs (WB too long)

From the top of my head.. Have you already tried the Polar 8.25 or the AWS 8.125? Not many options in the 8.18 size. AWS has some sometimes but I haven't tried one of those yet.

I've ridden both yeah, the Polar fucked me on a wrong WB measurement (said it was 14.1" came as 14.fucking35, bullshit). The AWS was a true 8.125; the Sovereign Sect do have an 8.175" stupid rare but has a 14.5" WB...so odd.

I'd go for the REAL 8.18, even with it's 14.3WB if I they'd make in the FULL SE shape they did a year ago or so.

There's a Puig Palace that used to be 8.2" (not 8.25) and the shape made it feel very thin, with a 14.25" the last to drops had the board listed with a 14.5" WB - just don't know who to trust anymore these days; board dims are terribly inconsistent.

Man I understand you so well. The last AWS I had measured exactly 8.125 x 31.75 which was my golden board so far. Website says 32 and most shops have them as 32 length measured. Maybe there are two different lengths for the same 8.125 width?

My next Deck will be a Anti Hero 8.18, with that 14.38 wb (which sounds long for me) and 31.875 width. Til I can find that specific AWS shape again...
Fuckin madness over here ^^

I checked out Diego the Butcher's new company Cleaver.
They make 8.25 decks with 31.75 length and 14.25 wb. Hella good specs.

Def don't need a new deck but the local said they had a rough month and the 8.4 AH shape has intrigued me for some time... Should sit well on some Ace 44s. First sub 8.5" board I have had in over a decade.

The AWS/Habitat and QUASI all measure shorter than the dims listed; I always thought it was a PSTIX thing. The 8.25" proto is listed as 32" but it's actually a hair over 31.8" - most shops round up I think (except SPoT, they're usually pretty good).

I'd bite on another 8.2 Palace but not trusting the WB at 14.5" listed on multiple sites...so fuckit, I'll try a Sour and 917 since 8.18" are scarce.

finally got this carpet board I’ve been waiting on. debating whether I’m even gonna skate it. the graphic is sick. some new 53mm classic f4’s. Krux bushings (never tried them). some crazy looking pig hardware that’s all primed out rainbow looking. and some NOS 136 stage 8 indys I traded a friend for. very good day for product.
This has me cracking up, what exactly does Black Flag have to do with measuring your dick starting behind ya nuts?

Skateboarding is nothing but a game to find the right fits to appear like you're a proportional human being instead of a midget or a giant.

Silver tool: it’s as dope as everyone says it is. If you don’t have one, get one.
Baker Rowan: B2 shape. If you are in to 8.25 x 32”+ and a somewhat square shape, this is worth a try.

Frank and Fred can probably measure it, but those ones were about right for 8.4 but it was more the 8.5 size that people were saying were not quite that wide, if I recall correctly.

Gone since 1988.  I talk too much about skateboards.  Sorry.

They're good but not indestructible, I've had 3 and broken 2. The plastic bits holding the sockets within the tool arent the strongest. Broke 1 trying to remove a stubborn axle nut, broke 1 more from daily use. A full metal tool like the Spitfire one, while basic, is probably going to be the best for longevity.

I have learned that for nice newish setup or general use those things are amazing, but the second you get anything that is old, rusted, stubborn or a struggle, grab out the old full metal version with the solid head and single piece screwdriver / allen key, because even good brand plastic tools or the welded parts on the allen / screwdriver bit that goes with some tools are just no match.

The other thing you can do if the silver tool does break is grind down the top end into a hex shape (grinder or even just run it along a rough curb on various sides) and mount it to a drill or socket set. I have not done this myself, but I have seen it done and that deck bolt socket part with the thin neck is the best for getting around hangers on Ventures and most other brands easily.
