Bought the worrest chain frame deck expecting it to be my first twin tail (as described by the catalogue). It’s not a twin…! Bummer. I did wonder with the graphic being one directional and with it not being a slick either.

Have any of you skated the Cromer Fangs 8.5 board?
Is it the classic 8.5 x 31.85 DLX shape that is actually an 8.4? Thanks.

Going by that sticker, yes the blue eagle shape is the 8.5 (more like 8.4 tapering to 8.3) x 31.8 with 14.25 wb.

Still the same overall shape that has been coming out for a while now, but are you in an area that gets BBS or the new DLX China boards?

They are said to be the same too, but it is worth checking, just in case you don't want the extra stiffness.

* Not to put you off it at all, more so just to double check.

Gone since 1988.  I talk too much about skateboards.  Sorry.

Thanks man.

I'm in Switzerland and suppose those are the ones made in China, but it should be the same dimensions even if it's different wood I suppose. Still kinda scared to try that Chinese wood. Love me some BBS wood. Might ask my mate who runs a skateshop to order it and he'll probably be able to still it if I don't feel it or if it's not the shape I usually skate. We'll see. Still have 2 BBS Real on ice, there's no rush.

i do worry about what wheelbases they pick
while cool-guying is a real phenomenon, studies show that 83% of all cool-guying incidents can be attributed to the cool-guyee being an awkward weirdo

I didn't see this before, but a couple of questions:

Where are you in the world / did you check the sticker if it was USA or China made?

What size / shape / info do you have on it?

This board as per pic below?

https://www.krookedskateboarding.com/summer-2024

There is also the Manderson chain frame in two sizes as well, normal shapes in 8.38 and 8.75

Just got a glimpse of the Antihero 10" popsicle coming out in Spring 2025. "The Horse Pill." Pretty sick and coming out as a bright yellow Eagle and a Grimple graphic.

10" x 31.5" x 14.25"

I just setup one of those Worrest twins in the picture. It was the same as the last Worrest twin I rode about 6 months ago. It doesn't say slick, but it has this sparkle paint that kinda gives it a similar texture to the slick I had last time. Either way, here in the U.S. it's BBS and it's the 8.3 twin shape.

Giant popsicle.

Sounds really similar to the Heroin Deer Man deck i picked up a couple years ago.  Its wild looking down and seeing something that wide rail to rail and not having giant kicks or w/b. Pairs perfect with Ace 66 Classics.
The full shape made it a bit more hefty compared to an egg so i didnt end up skating it too much.

9.25x32x14.25
Nose: 7.0
Tail: 6.625

For those who have already ridden Real 8.12, 31.3 and 14 Wb. Can I have your feelings ? I'm so excited to try this board that I ordered. The short lenght with a board above 8.0 really intrigues me a lot, specially because i m little.

The new Worrest graphic is on a new 8.25×31.9×14 and it's not a twin.

Whats up with so few 8.5 decks with 14.5WB now?
I'm currently skating the 8.38 Eagle with 14.5WB, and I lowkey like it, even with Thunders. The length is super comfy. Id love to try a 8.5 tho

The 8.5 Ishod twin is 32.2" long and has a 14.5" wheelbase. If you can do symmetrical shapes that one might be right in your wheelhouse.

Yeah, but even those are hard to come by. Twins can work, as I dislike 6.5" tails... Id rather have 6.6-6,7

Some people love that board, but I just found it weird without the longer nose.  The tail / kick length was really good though for everything else, but I guess I am just someone who likes that length tail and then a longer nose, more like 7" or so really.

The usual BBS / Generator 8.5 is just right for me in all specs, but they are harder to come by here in AU, so I usually just get the DLX 8.38 board and make do.  Closest to that is the longer 8.5 DLX board, which is 8.5 with 14.38 wb and fairly normal feeling all up, but with more tapered kicks that some people just don't like, which is why I wouldn't suggest that one right away.

I’m an Ace guy so I’d go with AF177 but 66 Classic would also work.

Depends. They’ve used the easy rider mold on a few of their popsicle shapes. Pretty sure there was an Ishod twin tail that was mellow but I could be misremembering.

I’m sure someone will correct me if I’m wrong.

Exactly the same shape as what the normal DLX boards are, so whatever the 8.25 or 8.38 or the 8.5 shapes are.

The 8.25 is a bit more blunt, the 8.38 more pointy and the 8.5 a bit more round overall, same as the blue eagle and all the other 8.5 x 31.8 with 14.25 wb.

Does the 9” Classic Eagle have a squarish nose or is it like the other 9” DLX decks?

I got one of the 9” Grimples and it’s waaaay too bandaid shaped for me.

Are you after a full / squared off shape or a pointy kick shape?

The 9 x 33 with 15 wb are all the same perfectly rounded kick shape, so I am guessing you might not like any of those boards - that includes the orange eagle and any other board of those same dimensions, same with the BBS normal 9" boards too.

The new shorter Anchor shape is a bit different, but still rounded in the kicks, definitely not at all squared off.

At one point I thought there were a couple of other more full shaped 9" boards around, but they were harder to find and the brands that did them were not putting them out at all regularly, so I don't think it is worth looking for them.  If you did find one, you might not find another, which is always a pain to me.

You would almost have better luck finding the DLX 8.75 FULL boards if you wanted that type of shape - almost 9" and also longer but the most recent Real graphic is pretty average.

Yeah i really love this shape too. I could only skate it with 147s or Ace lows. Anything higher and it felt like the tail was too short for me and i was ghost popping.

The shorter length and overall dims helped the board feel more controllable, both for flat and trying harder ledge tricks like flipping in or rotating in. A consistent downside I felt though was that it was harder to skate higher ledges/rails.  It felt like when i was trying to emphasis a higher ollie, my front foot would start pulling up the nose before my backfoot could give the tail enough space to get up off the ground.  This is just my mechanics but is the only thing keeping me from skating this deck 100% of the time.
