Always been a fan of taller skateboarders. People like BA, Rick Howard, Ron Whaley, Welsh, etc. Just looks better in my opinion.

Rumor has it that Tfunk has Gary Coleman/Webster syndrome and is in fact 37 years old.

wonder if it helps to be shorter. tall pros aren't as common, it seems.

Think I remember hearing somewhere he's like 6'4.  Depends on what you consider short, like there are really short guys like Castillo, and David Gonzalez, but pro skating is filled with guys with below avg height like Rowley, Malto, Sheckler, Westgate, etc.

I heard Torey Pudwill is midget sized in real life, I was surprised considering the sizes of ledges that guy gets up on.

Pretty much all pro skaters are short. It has to do with center of balance. All tall pros were short when they started and then had a growth spurt and somehow figured it out ie Reynolds.
I thought it wasnt just him solo, shouldve stuck with my og thought.

Ron Allen! Got a hug from him the other day.  :D He fucking rips and is a really nice guy.

Love BA! At 3:50 in this interviewer calls Brian Anderson an openly tall skater, I always thought that was in poor taste. Probably had to deal with a bunch of bullshit over the years.  :-\

Opps! Forgot to post the video: http://xgames.espn.go.com/xgames/video/10007297/face-time-brian-anderson

That's what happened to me, only I didn't figure it out like Reynolds did and now I suck  :-\ lol.

I never thought of this way, I guess it's true for gymnasts too, both activities have similar aspects: http://www.livestrong.com/article/546292-what-is-the-advantage-of-a-gymnast-being-short-in-stature/

Isn't it easier to pop high with longer legs though?

You would think that right?? But as I was going through my growing phase my pop has slightly gotten worse over time.  I lost my ability to do certain tricks too, which was a huge bummer.

Pretty much. It's kind of insane how small everyone is. Austyn and Jerry are both very short as well, that spring to my mind.
