I can honestly say I've never "cried" from watching a skate video part, but I've come close. Close as in like, felt a rush of emotions and could feel it building up as if I was capable of crying but it never came to fruition. Off hand I can think of a few videos/parts that this happened from. The video Closure from Wolfe, the whole video got me pretty emotional, but when the credits started to roll that almost put me over the edge. The montage of all of the people/skaters he's worked with in slow motion and the music it was paired with. Just imagining all of the amazing people he's met, spent time filming, witnessing so many incredible things first hand that I've only seen in mags and videos (and to me feeling like I'm part of for even experiencing it second hand) it was crazy. The Cardiel Epicly Later'd got to me too. I was always a fan of Cardiel, since his padless 540 in Virtual Reality. But getting to hear his story, from him was awesome. My first daughter, is named Skylar Cardiel. Guy Mariano's part from Fully Flared is another too. For pretty much the same reason the person stated earlier in this thread. I grew up basically idolizing him from Video Days. That video changed the way I thought about skateboarding. To see him grow up on a skateboard from back then, go trough everything he's been through, and come back with this part was absolutely inspiring. Everything about that part was beautiful.

I bought Chomp On This when it first came out. This is when Keenan Milton had just passed away and there were many tributes that I read in magazines. At the end of the video after the credits, there's footage of him laughing and joking around set to perfectly fitting music, some of you might know what I'm talking about.  There weren't tears but it made me a bit misty-eyed when I saw it after a few times. Grosso's Fallen Brothers loveletter is a sad watch as well, although not to the crying point. And recently, Brian Anderson's Vice interview where his mom tells him that she learned a lot from him was a bit emotional.

I've never cried, but I get chills if that counts. Reynolds in stay gold when he backside flips wallenberg, and lands right when the music kicks; that was awesome. Heath in This is Skateboarding when he slams on the hubba with the music; and in Mindfield the backlip in the red flannel, just hauling ass:

That's got to be my favorite trick of all time

I got the most intense chills ever watching Made for the first time. Something about EITS and Leabres' skating just really got to me.

Couldn't hold the tide from my eyes when watching Deanna speak in Ed's Epicly Later'd.

I'm a core skateboarder, though. They were core-tears.

I'm crying right now.

Anybody cry when Guy came back in Fully Flared?
[close]

Definitely a candidate. Reynolds Stay Gold part was up there too man, that shit was so good.

Nice, yeah this part was kind of heavy for me. I was also going through a gnarly difficult breakup with someone I'd been with for years and the song was super triumphant and fucking rad and it made me rekindle my love for actually going out and really skating which helped to ease the pain of that particular moment for me.

Also 16mm montage from Transworld I.E. gets me kind of emotional I don't know why. Maybee I just get nostalgic for a past time period.

Fully Flared and Stay gold obviously

Any video of Rodney, any will do. He doesn't even have to skate and i still get shivers.
Deawon in Round 3
Ryan Sublette, that one part with Ryuchi Sakamoto's Merry Christmas Mister Lawrence
That Heath Final Cut montage

and some more but i can't find them in my head because i've just woken up

The end scene to lords of dogtown, when they team up to push sid around his pool in a wheelchair
I second this, one of my favorite scenes from any movie ever but definitely sad

I don't think I've ever cried or teared up during a skate part, but there are parts that are just super powerful.
Like Torey Pudwill's True part, something to do with the song choice, the b-roll, how happy he looks when he's skating, just made that part emotionally powerful.
Shit could be worse

If you have a lot of love for the skaters or skateboarding in general it's really no big deal. Not the crying or emotional aspect of skateboarding, but it's something that makes it an art and not a sport. We closely document and advertise the personal lives of the skaters way more so than team sports. Shit is real life, that is my sensitive post.

I cent remember shedding tears for a specific part but I do drop two single tears of joy every time I watch Chomp On This, and Chima Fergusons part in the Real video caught hold of my emotions and convinced me to watch it everyday for a month straight. There is a high probably of crying if I ever decide to dust off my vcr and watch old 411VMs though.

I did however see several grown men crying after Guy's part during a Fully Flared premier. All the little kids looked at them cluelessly and they responded with "just shut up and watch the screen, you'll never get it"

i came up through the "niggas don't skate days"

honestly, Mind Field opening.  An ode to skateboarding and the feeling of primitive joy one experiences when grinding metal and concrete or gliding down the sidewalk.  A ballad to the lonely, misunderstood kid in a parking lot doing the best thing in the world and believing in himself despite what anyone says.  A deviant activity that changed the way we think about public space forever and renegotiates useless decoration and street filth into one of the last places where men express themselves freely and battle their personal limits with honesty and integrity.  A toy that has created interesting personalities, friendships, and rivalries from every day people that made it all the way to the top of pop culture.  There is not much better than this useless wooden toy that is powered by your will alone.

Or maybe it's just the bag pipes.
