With the streetleague stuff, I think its mostly capitalism at work making things that way, the more profit you generate the more payment you can demand, maybe they could strike, if anything Leticia is raising demand for women's skating which makes it a more lucrative venture in general imo. Combine what you guys said with the plain numbers game... maybe 30x more men skate than women?  I never see girls actually skating at the skateparks i go to.  Drawing from a way bigger pool helps the level get raised.

heh, i thought the same thing. 'i've been sponsored by bones since i was 12 but they never pay me'. free wheels for a decade is awesome and i'd say she's better than i am but in this great game we play i think i'm about as influential in getting kids to skate as she is. well, minus the street league audience back when we were both just skating on our own time. all older skaters are in a way 'selling' skating to younger kids who think we're cool.
*nothing to do w/ anything i had the tv on this show 'satisfaction' and the background was all these stairs, handrails w/ no knobs and steep banks going down the stairs. does anyone know where that place exists? it looks chicago-ey but the show is so-call so prolly LA but i don't think i've seen it on videos. and if i did they were chicago vids.

Im not gonna buy the 10-12x more testosterone for taking risks . There are women fighters , woman Army Rangers , women BASE Jumpers , Astronauts and fighter pilots . Sorry I dont know what " negotiating space " means ?

I had to check a few youtube vids to find out the " center of gravity " is for men and women .  Women have their gravity spot around the ass / hips and men have it around the chest shoulders .  With all the gymnasts , movement training , yoga . running and so on .
I dont see why this wouldnt allow a woman to kickflip a 10 stair or do high airs in a snow half pipe

The numbers might be the only one I would kind of agree on . But with how big snowboarding and skateboarding is there should be more women at the same level as the men .

I think it'd be best if every woman in skating was treated like Elissa Steamer when she rode for Toy Machine. Didn't have to market herself as "attractive" or a even as a woman, just skated and was cool. I felt bad for her during her Epicly Later'd when she told the story of how Miorana said there were no girls allowed on Anti-Hero.

I don't know, when I started skating Elissa had a pro shoe on Etnies I believe and Vans had a Cara-Beth Burnside pro shoe, it'd be nice if they did something with Meow (not a fan of that name). Weird how things seemed better back then; I can't remember the last time I saw a female pro shoe, although I'm guessing a Nike Leticia one is coming/already exists.
