Bought a pair to try the fit, a little narrow on the front but nothing that would kill my feet. It did feel incredibly stiff but it had a nice slim profile. The current DCs I'm on are way too puffy coming from a vulc, my flips are completely off.

Liked the shoe so much I stocked on 2 more just in case. $50 a pair ain't too bad.

I skated a couple pairs of those last year, still have a pair on ice. Great shoe, the stiffness should go away after a couple of sessions. Where did you find them for $50?

NB's online store in Asia, probably a flash sale over the weekend.

There are sellers doing the 306 for $20, shipped from Indonesia. Either these failed QC or guys are sneaking them out the back door and selling them online. Or Fakes.

@mini greek is the man, because of him I skated only NB# for like 1 year before moving to a place where you can't find them. Luckily this is going to change.
Sir, I'm going to politely, but firmly, ask you and your common sense to leave this establishment.

Love the 212 and 213. What does 'Animal friendly dual layer' mean? Are the reinforced ollie areas a vegan alternative?

Referring to synthetic suede on that ollie panel patch.  Those 212/213's are canvas all around usually with a suede patch right there plus a leather heel tab.  For the Samarria colorway we did it with all synthetics to go with the canvas, making it an easy transition to being vegan friendly.

Amazing. Thanks. I've been waiting for something like this. I am not vegan but try to limit the amount of animal products in my life. One of the reasons I like the 212/213 is because they are mostly canvas. I hope you do this with future colourways.

Agree, hard.  NB has been kind of infamous in taking a mostly canvas or synth shoe and then sticking a leather/suede "N" or heel tab on it.  There's no need for that stuff to be real leather.  Let's keep these mostly ornamental pieces (and therefore the whole shoe) animal-friendly.  Yes, i do recognize in the case of the 213 that the leather bits are in the high-wear areas for skating, so this Samarria shoe is a great progression!  (I'll go back to my hovel in the vegan shoe thread now, thanks)

After a few days of concern whether or not my 440 Hi would stretch enough in the toe, I put them on this morning and haven't taken them off all day. Been wearing them around the house and shit, I'm half Japanese and this is all sorts of unacceptable. They just feel too good.

I wore them walking around here and there for weeks and they felt great, just normal new cupsole stiffness. When I recently started skating in them I started to have doubts as to whether or not they would work for me. They felt stiffer than I thought they should and my toes were feeling so cramped. I had gotten so used to Legacy Slims which have an almost bulbous toe, super roomy. I put in one more good session and now they feel right. I'm stoked they worked out.
