Pretty chince of NB# to not give laces because that is obviously a cost savings thing, i imagine they save millions per year not including it, and also only a portion of the audience is probably going to use them even depending on the shoe + how well they are protected. NB is one of the more expensive brands so they should cough it up.

So far I think all my 480s have had extra laces. Don’t think my 440s or 808 had spares.

Every single shoe from like 2017-2020 had extra laces. Please bring it back, my back up supply is running low.

The Natas 480 came with 3 pairs of laces, yellow, speckle green, and black.

About two months in with the 600, skating 2-3 times a week. I like this shoe a lot. Just wish NB would provide an extra set of laces with each shoe.

Those look like a pair of 80s running shoes (in a good way)

those photos really made me want a pair of 600s, great colorway

I would have pulled the trigger if it had a gum sole and not black

Hi all, long time listener, first time writer-in and all that..

I noticed that New Balance Numeric folks are active in this thread, so thought I might direct this question to them:

I bought pairs of both the 440 High V2 and 440 V2 lows in size 10,5 US. But I kept feeling like the lows were shorter/smaller than the highs. After closer inspection they do look at least half a size smaller (see attached images). Size 10,5 US normally fits me with Numeric shoes and the highs fits perfectly. So I wonder if this was a production error with the lows, or by design (i.e. should I size up to an 11 US)?

Thanks and best,

Anders

A bunch of new colorways on Premier including seude 480 lows:
https://thepremierstore.com/collections/footwear-1?filter.p.vendor=New+Balance+Numeric&filter.v.price.gte=&filter.v.price.lte=&filter.v.availability=1&sort_by=created-descending
NB is killing it with all these new colorways. Here's some I haven't seen anywhere else yet. I still think the white with the black and gum sole 1010s are one of the best tho

oh my the 808s

has anyone tried, and liked, a whole size up in the 808s? my wheats are the best skate shoes i’ve had in a long while. 1/2 size up and after months of wear finally getting wide enough

nb uses materials that for me, are laughably better than the others. they just last. a sale pair of 808s has lasted me months of skating, maybe more than double
what dunks or j’s would last

Giving heavy Reynolds 1 vibes, very good looking cw for that shoe.

Not loving my first pair of the 440v2's after exclusively skating the V1 for years. Going to try the Tom Knox 600, are those TTS if I wear a size 10 in the 440's I should get the same size?

Yeesh those brown 808s are killer.
I know everyone always says go up a half size on 808s anyways.  In the regular suede toe cap ones I can get away with TTS its tight at first but the suede stretches.

The rubber toe cap ones I HAVE to size up or else they crush my feet, so just heads up for anyone else who hasn't had a pair of the rubber toe cap ones.

Yeah the og 440s and 600s are true to size for me. I also wear a 10 in both. The 600s do fit more snug because of the fantom fit stuff they use, like the 1010s.

Glad someone picked up quickly on that 808 inspiration.  Since Andrew skates that shoe a lot, it made sense to give a nod to that epic colorway.

Let me ask the designers on this one.  My guess is, this is a 1-off factory issue and not something for ALL 440 hi/low's.  But I'll ask and see what I can find.  Plus I have a bunch of them on the wall here in my office and can do a little test as well.

Honestly kinda hard to articulate but they feel a bit more tighter/snug in the midfoot area, I don't have super wide feet but they never felt like that to me in the V1's. Could also just be biased since I spent some much time in the V1's. I also don't love the look of the larger N logo.

I have the brown wheat 808's and they have a huge chunk of material at the bottom of the tongue inside the shoe that really digs into the top of your feet. is that normal on all colorways? It makes them basically unwearable for me, and I sized 1/2 size up from my normal 9.5 size in 1010's which fit fine.

How long does it take to break in the 480's or 440v2's. Ive been skating in the Nike Leo react's and GT's for a while now and need something new. I just hate shoes that take forever to skate

"Mine fit TTS"
"Mine did not fit TTS"

...and people wonder why there is confusion with NB# sizing...regardless if it's a 'factory one-off' run/mistake.

On a  positive note, those chocolatey brown 808s are fucking tasty. damn.

Omg @rothdigga these black/gum 480 highs feel even better out of the box than the leather ones. Can immediately tell they're going to skate better for my tastes.

Please more suede 480 high colorways! I'm about to buy another pair right now haha.

All my 440 v1 highs fit me in size 10. All my 440 v1 lows were too small in 10, perfect in 10.5.

Just ordered the new brown v2 highs in 10 hoping sizing was the same and this post gives me hope.
