I'm still hopeful for an 808v2 or lite version. They just need to tweak the sizing and midsole.
808 lite = 1010

808 lite = 1010

Weird take. Two different shoe builds. By that logic, care to explain how a bulked up version of the 1010 = an 808?

1010 is the more comfortable shoe (imo), it's also wider.

808 is heavier, narrower and stiffer (some say more durable, down to the lace loops), a lite version fixing weight (ideally a more flexible sole is part of that) and the sizing =/= a 1010 imo.

Longer laces on the 808 would help

Those who find the 808 comfortable to skate in, what size are you wearing? Do you go for your TTS, half size up, full size up? I got 2 pairs of 808 in my typical skate shoe size (US 10) which is a half size up from my TTS 9.5. The 808 feel snug but I can walk in them for a bit. I tried skating in them and it’s just pain. My toes hit the end of the shoe. The 1010s in that size are nice and roomy. Should I attempt to go for a 10.5? Also, on another note, how’s the sizing with the 600. Those new burgundy ones are super nice.

I wear 9.5 in 808s and pretty everything else is a 9 for me. In comparison they fit similar like the 440 v1 in size 9 but I find 440s to be more narrow. I would bend and twist those shoes, maybe microwave them carefully to loosen em if they feel really stiff for you. Also that talk the 808 "lites" are 1010 is bs. Let's have them and let people wear the version they like.

600 fit me so much better than 440v2 lows. Man those things are way too snug in the toes.

600 is amazing. Well ventilated, loving them so far.

So the 600 has a wider toe box than the 440?

Anyone skated these? Asking for a friend.  I already have a pile of shoes ready to go.
They laughed when I told my friends that I was going to be a comedian.....well they are not laughing now!

On my second pair of 808s, love em. They take awhile to get used to but I’m about to switch to the 1010s cause I’ve got 2 pairs ready to go

It's best like month two tho. I got two pairs of fresh 808s I wanna wear my oldest ones. It's hard to break um in. Not the best show for walking in. Skate fine but gd my shit hurts from the extra long shift at werk in my new joints

It seemed like in the shoe bio they rejiggered the fit, so it might be kind of a different shoe m

I love Franky but I don't feel that a pro shoe was needed from him. Also for me, aesthetically speaking, is the least appealing shoe from the whole line.
I would get rid of that one and either 272 or 574 since they seem to be pretty much the same thing.

Long time lurker first time poster.

Any other large footed folk find sizing on the 440v2 a pain?

Worn Vans for years at a UK11 across the board, in the 440v2 I've tried 11,11.5 and 12.5. For some reason Numeric don't seem to make a UK12 in any of its shoes?

11 and 11.5 felt exactly the same, way too tight and crammed in. The 12.5 were like clown shoes on me, slipped around everywhere, am I just shit out of luck when it comes to New Balance? Tempted just to go back to Crockett Highs as this is a pain in the ass ordering and returning.
[close]
According to the New Balance size chart on their website, UK12 is equivalent to US12.5, and yeah, they don't make any of the numeric models in US12.5 (it's a fairly rare size in general, I think only adidas offers it).
But I feel your pain, I'm in the same boat with 440s...the US12 is way too small, and the US13 is huge.
So I rolled the dice and ordered a pair of 440V2's (lows) in size 13 during one of the July 4th sales, and the sizing on these is so much better than the original 440s. The original 13s were way too big, but these V2 13s fit perfectly. Stoked on these!

From what I've seen from our pre-books both the low and mid are staying in line for the future.

are the low's new fit a bit wider now? hard agree on the toe killing on the mids, great shoe otherwise.

Skated the 417s and loved the board feel and ankle protection but the breathability was terrible with that shoe, color bleed was awful with the teal colorway as well, have a pair of 1010s im excited to try out, heard nothing but good things for the 1010 other then some of the toe mesh comes apart really quick

Hey pals, I need your advice. I need a kinda wider toe room like the 600 with a bit more arch support. Does the 1010 fit the bills for that? 306 and 600 fit me well. 574 vulc and 417 not so much. Does the 1010 get any looser around the toe area over time? How are the stock insoles in them? I am still having problems with plantar fasciitis and looking for more supportive shoes.

https://www.newbalance.com/pd/nb-numeric-tiago-lemos-1010/NM1010V1-45840.html

This particular colorway looks hella nice if anyone had experiences with these. Same size I wear in the 600 and 306?

That new NM440VBS is the newest one if you want to search it out.  After that, I would have to look to see what's next coming after it but it'll be a 272 again maybe?  I'll see what i can find out.

Same size for me

10.5 600

10.5 440v2 (low/wides)
10.5 440v2 (hi/regular)
10.5 1010 (mesh)

1010 = 10.5s still feel half a size too big to me; heel slip and all.

1010s aren't particularly wide in the toes but if width is a concern then definitely choose a style with mesh in the toe. I wear my regular size in 1010s with mesh in the toe but the same size in a 1010 with a solid toe with leather or suede are too tight for my toes and very hard to break in. I've given up on a couple of pairs.

Particularly why I am responding though is the plantar fasciitis thing. I was getting it pretty bad in both feet, particularly my left foot to the point where it felt like my heel was bruised all the time and I was limping to the bathroom at night. Looked up a bunch of stretches and got Footprint gamechangers and used them in all my shoes whether I was chilling or skating and those insoles didn't do shit. Sounds like a tall tale, but I started wearing 1010s to work almost every day with the stock insoles and my plantar fasciitis is basically gone now. Not saying that will happen with everyone, but it did with me.
