These are perfect. Will be buying two pairs.

Word on the street is, there will be no size 10.5s or 11.5s available (at least in the first run). Greatly disappointing.

I'm going to give my bros on here a heads up on these.  We had a big production mishap and NO PAIRS of sizes 10.5 and 11.5 were made for the USA.  They have them in Canada but none in the US.  So you would have to size down or up for these, just giving you notice when they go live on Friday and you see those sizes missing.  They didn't sell out, they never existed.  Europe is getting the Reynolds 480 but at a later date since their order went in off timeline.

roth, im curious why the reynolds 480s have internal straps keeping tongue straight, but the regular lows do not. i prefer the straps and noticed on reynolds colorway immediately.

any chance future low and high 480s will get the same treatment?

Damn I’m a 10.5. Do I get an 11 or a 10? How do the 480s fit?

I think they fit a little big... I am also a 10.5, and at least with the first run of 480s (navy/white) that I have, I could go with a 10 (an 11 would be very big on me).  In the 10.5, I have about the width of my thumb in space between toes and tip of shoe, which I like in a shoe (rather than jammin toes).

The pretty funny thing about this is that Reynolds wears an 11.5

Thank you. 10.5 is perfect for me and fits about the same as you described. 10 it is

Is the toe bumper on the 440 V2 two layers of leather/suede or is it two separate panels stitched together?

I might have gotten a weird run of pairs because my reynolds 480s (brown/black) do not have straps

I see. I was assuming the previous reynolds colorway also had this feature. I hope it comes standard. People who prefer strapless always have the option of cutting them.

Never understood why they make shoes without the straps.
In 00s all shoes had them, and it was considered one of the greatest skate shoes inovations. So much so, the big companies started to put them in other sport shoes.
Then, all of sudden it wasnt the standart anymore. It was something really rare to find, actually.
And now its just by chance. Some shoes have them, some dont.
But whats bothers me the most is that some shoes are notorious to have that annoying tongue slip and companies do nothing, as if tongue stripes were that expansive or mold related.

Fuck i hate being a skater.

I have hobbit feet and i prefer straps. Keeps my wide feet from blowing out the form of the upper by stabilizing. At least mentally it does that.

Pulled the trigger on the Westgate 508. Saw the all black/yellow N colorway on sale and jumped all over it.

Haven't been a huge fan of NBs model overall, but I've thought the 508 look pretty sleek and simplified for a while. Finally got around to ordering my first pair of NB#, after hunting for the right price/color/size.

Wow sorry, didn't realise I was dealing with a sick cunt here

Still have an unworn pair of Reynolds, but that won't stop me. Those white ones look amazing. The tongue straps are an interesting addition. Maybe it'll help with heel slip.

Got some regular 480s in my usual size. I think with a tiny bit higher insole these would be really nice. They are pretty comfy and wide enough for me right out of the box which happens rarely for me these days.

The numeric 480s have the same sizing? I think half size down would crunch my toes to much in the regular 480s.

Tried out the 1010s after 2 pairs of the 808s and really enjoy them. Broke in a lot faster then the 808s but the 1010s feel like i coulda gone 1/2 size down. I usually skate a 10.5 but now regret not getting the smaller size, i knew it cause i heard it to be true on slap. I shoulda listened to my slap pals...

Decent 480 sale going on here: https://www.joesnewbalanceoutlet.com/pd/nb-numeric-480/NM480V1-46050.html
Not getting the Black/Sea Salt pair is my biggest regret. And of course there’s no 14s on that site lol. Still, $70 is a steal for 480s.

So strange how off white is a thing when I couldn't stand it back in the days.

I think these are the best looking 480s so far. Surprised NB is keeping things really mellow since they can go ape shit on the colorways since this is their version of a dunk. And love, love, love how an old skater like Reynolds is still getting a shoe colorway and a pro shoe later.
