Would be fun to draw up what we think Reynolds shoe will look like and see if we get close it all haha
[close]
I would like to see what you guys think it'll be vs what I know it actually is also...rampant speculation!!!
[close]
im thinking in the 900’s as well. Not too techy looking, but plenty of tech in the shoe
actually revisited the 913 this weekend and got a sense maybe this is something similar to what reynolds would want, but with more natural paneling and materials. A bit more classic. But a nice modern outsole done in a tasteful way, GREAT tech.. (cushioning).. but maybe a more unsuspecting / sleeper presentation

What about 863?  Running shoe profile like the 1010 but a little slimmed down, with an ode to Lakeland, Florida’s area code.

Oh I forgot about Westgate first one.   I was guessing 900s because I thought they’d want to give Reynolds his own, unique block of numbers to stand out

What I've learned from my ongoing plantar fasciitis journey. The hamstrings from most people are too tight due to things like sitting at work for example. This can cause pain in knees, ankles, buttcheeks, in the groin area or in the achilles area and said plantar fasciitis. Maybe that could be a cause for you pals.

I have pain in all of these areas and some hamstring stretches and some yoga poses help a lot on most days.

Sorry I don't want to come across as Mister know it all, it's just something I learned the last months. Maybe it can help someone.
[close]

My pain is specifically at the back of the heel, not underneath, and doesn't extend to the achilles. I initially thought it was a heel bruise but it doesn't behave like a bruise. Hurts more in the morning or when I start a session but once warmed up it feels fine, but after a big session I know it's going to get worse the next day. Anyway it seems to be the bursa which are fluid filled sacs  ;D at the back of the heel. I had to stop wearing the 1010s for now and I'm back on DCs. I might try returning to the 1010s once this issue resolves itself.

yo i hope this video is a lot of help. it sounds like you have the same problem i did. i had pain at the very back of my right heel, not underneath. during long car rides it would hurt since i’m pivoting it right on the heel to press on the gas and brakes. it’d hurt immediately when i’d wake up, a little bit of walking around would help, but it’d hurt again after heavy sessions of walking or skating. i lounged around for a whole week or two doing these exercises NONSTOP. hang around, watch tv, do it standing up, whatever, as long as you do it, you will be healed. if i remember correctly i could still feel it when i returned to skating but the pain was non existent, and was completely gone by the next week where i was solely skating.
https://youtu.be/3wzLu0pVgIY?si=gAdkauDwmg9D44Yy

That exercise says it's for Plantar Fascitis, but I'm thinking mine is more likely Insertional Achilles Tendinitis, because I don't have any pain under the arch at all. But I'll try it anwyay along with the Insertional Achilles exercises which I'm starting. Also the ice vs heat topic is interesting. I have basically been wrapping an ice pack around my heel for about 20 minutes followed by a heat pack for 20 minutes.

Anyway I'm going to take a month off skating while I rehab myself, hopefully it's long enough.

Putting my chips in something like the 868 with some kind of mid top. That would be heaven.

I can't help but think the guys over at NB# are really into mathematics. So my suggestion for Reynolds' shoe would be 909.

Would be very surprised if Reynold's shoe isnt named 863. I love the idea of a mid or high top (Reynolds has been wearing the 480 high a lot) but I would think a low top would sell better and thats the direction they went. All I pray for is that the toe box isnt narrow and the sizing is on point.

Anybody know if The Boss has wide feet? Lmao. His past pro models were never narrow.

Yeah based on ig it seems like Reynolds skates the 1010s, 480s, and 808s the most. I kind of doubt his shoe would be less techy or bulky than the 1010 or 480 since he seems to prioritize the support. I'd love for his shoe to be a mid or high top, especially since the 480 highs didn't quite work for me. He did have that Emerica hightop pro model some years back that everyone seemed to love....

Did he?  I don’t remember that (unless you’re talking about the Reynolds 1, but surely not)

I think it's this one from 2013 but it's more of a mid-top.

Exactly what I was talking about! One of my friends had a few pairs of these and really liked them. I think there was a dude or two on here that had a crazy stockpile of them too, like easily over 10 pairs.

Would be pretty beast for NB to release his pro model in a low and a high at launch. I dont think that has ever been done before.

Also I am curious how a new pro model in the line affects the current pro models, do pro's with a signature shoe get bummed knowing their shoe sales will decline? Are royalties still a thing or do pro's with signature shoes just get a bump in salary?

I think the first time anyone sees it should be as a tease in this beast of a NB# vid that’s coming out soon, the one that will basically be Foy vs Tiago for SOTY

i remembered now that this dude baskwith from youtube used to skate this shoe a lot and he wore these maroon pants with them and i just can’t get the image out of my head. i used to watch his stuff a lot when i was like 13, he had those POV set-up videos i really liked back then but that fit was definitely not it

the low top version looked better

Checking right now.  I believe Europe got them, but their order for them went in like 1-2 months after the US so they're getting it late.  But let me verify first before getting any hopes up.
