Oh? The actual Kawhi IV? I’ve been trying to fish for more input on them in here.

I have the 480s but looking at them on the shoe wall they all are made from the same materials

Sick! I ordered them in my tts, and until they arrive I won’t know how big of a mistake that might have been.

Hopefully they’ll fit just fine.

So the KAWHI IV are technically a skate shoe? I mean, they’re in the Numeric range, and Tiago was skating them.

Regardless, I think they’re dope and grabbed a pair.
yeah I don’t know. I think numeric kinda did a poor job marketing this shoe.

I give credit it’s a new build.

I don’t like the clippers. I love numeric and basketball. I have no desire to buy it. I don’t think the shoe looks that good based on shape, proportions, tongue. The blue time review didn’t do any favors for me.

Yeah, it’s just a little confusing. Some skate shops stocked them, which only adds further confusion to the equation.

I am hoping @rothdigga can kinda clarify things.

According to my local, a very select number of shops got the Kawai Leonard IV shoe

Interesting. Kinetic was one of them I saw carrying them online.

I think it might be an iffy sell for the skate crowd, if even just on the price point alone.

can anyone confirm that all of NB’s leather shoes are fucked up small? i skated a sample pair of suede 440V2s that almost felt a little too big and loved them, grabbed a black leather/suede pair in the same wize and they’re still very snug after skating them once or twice. both soles have the same size/shape… will these keep stretching out or am i outta luck?
I can confirm. If the shoe is a leather one I won't touch it.
Sir, I'm going to politely, but firmly, ask you and your common sense to leave this establishment.

My 600 leather feel slightly more snug at first but loosen up quite nice and end up feeling pretty damn similar. I've skated through 4 pairs so far and have 10 on deck- 50/50 ratio of suede to leather so far.

The basketball shoes come in wides but the skate shoes don’t? C’mon NB#

+ also had issues with leather 574’s in the past. Had to size up. What’s worse is the difference from the cupsole 574’s to the new vulcs. The vulcs are much larger than the old cupsoles. 2 sizes down for me. What really sucks about buying online is obviously you can’t try them on.

Locals aren’t carrying many wides. Buy them direct or from Zappos with very few exceptions.
Can’t help but notice the wides are selling out faster than standard sizes (in available models) though. More options please! Nothing like the 1010 in wide from ANY brand. Skate shoes have gotten narrower. Not just because style has changed; less material=less money to produce. Gotta compete with Nike. I think the 440 v2 is half the shoe the cupsole 574 was. And now NB has tried to erase the cupsole 574 from history with their “Now for skateboarding” Orwellian ad campaign… But why? Why must you torture me?

Torn between the Coffee Brown/Black 808's and these new Sea Salt/Black sole joints. Does the rubber toe cap make any difference in comfort/fit?

We only had enough pairs of the Basketball Kawhi to sell to about 9-10 stores across the whole US, so that's why you only saw a few guys get all 3 shoes and the rest just did the 480/1010 combo.  Hope that clarifies it.

huge bummer about leather shoes but it gives me an excuse to buy a pair of all black 440s. as far as i can tell these are the first mids with wide sizing? @rothdigga can you confirm if wide sizing is an online-exclusive thing or will shops get these?

Mostly, I've told shops to ONLY buy the wides in the first few seasons if they have had requests.  It's a very new thing for stores to sell different widths, so I didn't want a shop to fully stock up on a ton of wide shoes and then feel like they got stuck with them, so I was more cautious with the sales push here.  I think once the customer realizes we have them (I think we're starting to advertise it next year) then we should see more shops adopt buying into them.  Hope that explains it.

Thanks man, but are they skateable by mere mortals (those that aren’t Tiago)?

Hey pals. Someone on here could maybe tell me something about the 574 Core shoes? These are part of the New Balance Lifestyle line and I think I would try these for some comfy everyday sneakers. Half size up from my usual NB numeric size? What ya all think and who has these shoes?

They're definitely BASKETBALL SHOES and Tiago just skated them, so they're not rebuilt to be skate shoes or anything like that.  I think you can skate in anything right?  Like Wenning skating in Timberlands, but I wouldn't buy them to skate in unless you want to try to get some of that Tiago magic I guess.

True true, my first year skating I used to skate a whole slew of basketball shoes. I love the look regardless, and ordered a pair.
