Probably been covered but could someone please share if the sizing of the 440v2 high and low is the same?
[close]
Same
[close]

440 v2 hight and low are both same for me, too, and fit really nicely. 480 high and low are pretty roomy on me.
[close]
see, 480 fit great TTS (and literally countless other NB models in the same size) for me. The 440 low def felt half size small - quite a shame.
We need those .25 sizes!

Just got the 600 CWG colorway (white / grey, leather) and am currently breaking them in.

Unexpectedly they feel a bit snug at the toe as compared to the Knox green/white colorway, which I really enjoyed previously. I'm hoping they give in a bit, as the initial feeling is marginally a bit too tight (just at the toes, elsewhere they feel nice).

Anyone else experience something similar with the 600?
[close]
My only, and most important 600 experience, is that the leather ones are totally different fit and comfy wise than their suede counterpart.
In other words: Fuck leather.

I wouldn't go as far as to say fuck it. Some shoes are great in leather.

And yeah, after one session with the new snug 600, they actually feel great. The initial feel was snug as mentioned, but they started to break in just nicely.

prob covered but maybe someone could answer me quick so i can spend money like a fool!

574 vulc sizing vs 306 foy (laced) sizing

Those two models were the same size for me. But the 574 Vulc is a weird one. It felt hella stiff and somehow uncomfortable. I think the 272 would be the closest to the 574 Vulc regarding the shape. If you enjoy the 306 maybe the 272 would be something for you too.

Oh and some 0.25 sizes would be really sick but I can't imagine the costs for new molds in all those different sizes.

I also feel like some models vary in sizing due to the use of different materials. The launch colorways of the 600 fit a bit different as the newest version of the 600.

Sorry pals and thanks for coming to my Ted Talk.

willing to accept a generic answer, but regarding nb collabs - are certain models offered over others or is it just what people want to work with and what's within the project budget if it's a different model/vaulted?
[close]

Depends on the shoe and colab partner.  Generally we like to use NON-Pro models like 480, 440, 272, 574 unless there's a direct angle like the Knox Lost Art mentioned where Knox has been a part of Lost Art or the Tiago x Rone because Tiago was a huge Tony Ferg fan so those just fall into place easier.  Hope that makes sense.
Natas x 480High was purely Natas just liking that shoe and wanting to do that color up.  303/Jeremy Fish has done shop shoes now on the 288s, 272 and 480 so they have had stuff across the board.

rad, as always - big thanks for the detailed answer my dude

stealth edit: mushroom 480s was not on my design bingo card for the year, neat

That’s interesting, I would have thought Ferg and Gino would have picked the models, but based on his recent Thrasher interview it makes sense that Tiago is reaching out to inspirational skaters

Can anyone comment on the 2e 440 highs vs the normal width?

Is the extra width just in the toe box or all throughout?

Heel fits good, but toes are a little cramped

Premier shop teasing a collab.  Based on the lace holes it looks to be a 480

Yeah and looks like some strange stamped or debossed type leather. I guess mushroom themed.

Feels like a pretty big missed opportunity to not make the entire shoe out of the mushroom-based leather that just the N and tongue tag are made from
Would have been a 300 dollar shoe and we would have to make a fairly large amount of them.

okay then, can we at least get one non-440 vegan colorway (because that shoe doesn’t work for me) then? 1010 would be a dream come true, but any other cup model would also work…

My friend is skating these right now and likes them, although a little narrow/unstable but not too bad for him. For context his fav shoe to skate is the grey NB audazo but they don't have em anymore, and I guess this is the most similar thing

They're sick, definitely cop a pair. I've been rocking RC30's for awhile but the 42's seem to be narrower which makes them a no go for me and my wider feet lol.

Would definitely be keen on a numeric variant (slightly wider footprint of course....)

Asked to death but how do the 272s fit?

Weartested said to go 1/2 size down. I did that on the 508 and while the length is fine my wide foot is spilling over the side of the shoe.

Official lost art 600s photos coming out.   Looks like there’s kind of an Muska-esque Ollie pad that sits flush in that little triangle where it used to go down to just fantomfit covering
