I would be very stoked if nb# does a minimal Cupsole similar to a campus or puma suede shape. I’ve really been wanting to see some of the older cupsole designs come back. Right now the Cupsole market is geared towards indoor soccer or super tech designs. Neither of which really fit my style.

Hopefully it will replace the 425, those are very boring looking.
Sir, I'm going to politely, but firmly, ask you and your common sense to leave this establishment.

that's the 430, a pricepoint cupsole releasing d2 this year

looks like this

Oh cool I thought elements looked a little 440-ish except for the lace hole panel

That looks like a nice and simple shoe, would buy these. What timeframe is d2? April?

beef & broccoli 440 highs looks pretty sweet, guessing that was inspired by the ALD 993s?

Those Reynolds are very disappointing. The thick sole makes it look like Hoka or Skechers and the colourways are wack. Guess I'll stick to all black Tiagos

IMO the 425 is the second best looking NB shoe after the 508, but I prefer simple styling and one piece toe caps. They skate pretty good too.

The 440 high is one of the best shoes I've skated own my 30 years on board. Up there with the half-cab. The Reynolds interests me but I'll have to peep it in-person before judging it.

i follow a guy on instagram https://www.instagram.com/ke3f/

he had an interesting story up in regards to him sharing a photo of the reynolds shoe, and nb or someone adjacent to nb grilling him to remove the post. is the reynolds shoe not just out there for everyone to see yet? it's definitely floating around.

FWIW I heard while doing skate shop talk, that the leaked dog watermark of the reynolds is AI. And while it's similar, the real version looks better. This person has seen the shoe. I guess we will see.

good point, didn't account for the possibility of it being AI.

what are people most looking forward to from the shoe? granted i have not seen the actual product in person, but it doesn't seem like anything extraordinary or exciting to me.

The Slow Impact Reynolds shoe talk with Jeff Mikut and our very own @mini greek is today, so they’re def going to be getting into intimate detail on it with an audience.

I think the original plan was for the shoe to have already been released before this talk, but they had to fix a factory issue so the reveal is probably a lot more drawn out than they would have hoped or initially planned for.

I’m happy for them that they got to show the shoe off for the first time on their own terms, especially for a hyped show like this.   For anyone not into it, just remember how blasphemous the v2 440 felt at the time, but it seems like most everyone’s come around

Now that you mention it looking at the gray sections on the sole of the leak versus the official close up posted and it's definitely different

Not leaking shit as requested but I can confirm that they 100% will look better in the real promo shots and feel amazing in hand. I’m copping that brown launch colorway for sure

Get your money up tho cuz this ain’t a pricepoint shoe they’re treating it like a premium athlete pro model with the best materials and storytelling bits sprinkled throughout

Just left Slow Impact. Agree with others saying the Reynolds looks way better in person than the watermarked AI mockup.

Interesting to hear that Andrew basically wanted a slimmed down more flexible 808. I think it took some nudging from the NB designers to push the design of the shoe in a more distinctive direction.

Jeff Mikut said he and Andrew negotiated “trades” on the 933 design. One example was the runner’s toe. Andrew wanted it. Jeff didn’t. They agreed to keep it, but in exchange, Jeff got to alter something (can’t remember) I think it was the mudguard. Someone with a better memory can correct me.

Want more shoe nerdiness? I guess they’re using an NB last for the 933 that hasn’t been used on any other shoe in the Numeric line. The team is so stoked on how the 933 turned out that they’re gonna start using the 933 last on other NB# shoes. I asked one of the product managers if that included the 1010. He emphatically said no. Too many people are stoked on the 1010, they’re not gonna mess with it.
