1/3 into this video is the closeup, which I could be wrong but it still isn't the 100% final retail version as the way the toecap connects is slightly different.

Spied at least two pals in there

I still think Reynolds should do a collab with Cameron on one. It'd outsell the Kawhi x Tiago shoe by an order of magnitude. Mostly because I would buy most of them.

That tongue design with the heat transfer stripe and oval logo look really bad on my opinion.

Waiting for all the “three different fonts” guys from the Curren shoe thread to pipe up on this one.

PLEASE tell me the Neon 272 Tom K is wearing in his Followed are coming out :)

Pretty sure those are the F&F version of the Jake Hayes 272s from a couple years back.

this is cohesive graphically, the curren is not. see, the fonts utilized on that tongue work fine enough. the "933" and the "Reynolds" logo look similar. the curren looks like shit.

No argument from me that the Curren label is way worse and more jarring (not to mention larger), but I think this suffers from the same issue at a smaller scale.

Aesthetically it would’ve been better off with just the Reynolds, just the 933, or just New Balance, or at most two out of the three. I’m still gonna buy a pair and am stoked for launch day, but I’ll also subject everyone to my bad takes on logo design while doing so.

Sorry, those are in fact old Friends and Family pack ones from the Hayes 272's as stated above.  Tom just came by the office to snag some more as a matter of fact.
On the bright side, my answer here is my 1000th post!  So I guess I'm officially a SLAP Pal now.  Not that that helps you in any way.

I've managed to get two homies to switch from Half Cabs to 480s in the last week. They seem pretty stoked about it. I feel good about my actions.

The more I see them the worst they get for me :(
Would anybody be so kind to remind be cw for 25.4?
From what I've seen I like the grey ones better.

Thanks for reminding me that the only NB shoe I’d want is that new foy 480 color way.

I mean that doesn’t even look like a skate shoe. 100% boomer dad shoe right there.

Just got the foy 80’s in. Put them on my feet and the difference between the og ones without the elastic tongue strap is heaps different. The heel slip would be terrible on the og ones. Had to lace them to the top and even then my foot would slip out. Curious to try the 808 lights as I have some qualms with the og 808s.

I always thought the 480s run half a size too big. Even the regular non skate 480s feel a bit too long in my usual size. But that is just my opinion.

Are we already have a release date for the 808L?

I'm the same way. I got a pair of 480's in 9 and they are too big and were flopping off my foot. Next pair was 8.5. Perfect fit. Same with most of nb#'s shoes. Besides the 440's I get those in 9.

Yea, this colorway ain't doing it for me either.

480s are working juuuust fine though.

I really like that foy colorway but my fragile ankles can't skate lows lol.

When did they add tongue centering straps to the 480?

Apparently the recent cream suede gum and black suede gum pack didn’t have them?

My blk/blk/gum have them. New favorite shoe, at least to wear/work. Haven’t had a chance to skate them yet. I’ve been in Blazer mids for the past couple of years so I’m intent on wearing them in for a few months first. Reminds me of a mid 90s style shoe but with better support, fit, quality.

Did anyone notice the latest white 480 on new balance is offered in a wide??? Curious if that is in the heel? Or forefoot.
