I want that grey colorway but none of the shops I’ve found have that one up right now. Rip /:

The grey colorway is part of the NB Grey Days release they are doing every year. Should be at the end of May if I am not mistaken. There are preview pics from Sneaker websites floating around. Wait, I try to find a picture. I only found this link, but you can see the 933 there, 2nd line from the bottom, right in the middle.

Maybe the boss wanted it released on the 25th because it’s the perfect date. Not too cold and all you need is a light jacket

Anyone else feel like this is the most oddly fumbled release of a shoe?

For the mystique and build up around it, with the potential for a massive drop, it’s been anticlimactic at best imo.

Some shops have both colours some don’t, know seems to know why or why not 😂 as a massive NB supporter and user to me this is the first time I’ve been like well that was so “meh” I don’t even care anymore.

I know I sound like a gigantic baby but I do hope the shoe is successful and skates really well. Hoping to see the wheat colourway become available where I’m located soon as that was the one I wanted to snag today.

I'm more confused about them prioritizing it not leaking over him having more time to film in the shoes to get out a part in it. Sure the mystique is cool but I would argue having a solid part in the shoes is more long lasting impact in skater's decisions to support it long term. He even mentions in the Shredshop interview that he needs a lot of time to film good footage and given the amount of time they locked him in a warehouse only to test, I think more priority should have been in the edit. But we will see when the video drops.

As for the colorway fiasco, that's day one stuff. I'm sure a launch colorway being a day or two late isn't a big deal in the long term.

Doesn't feel like a fumble to me. Not when Adidas sent the Tyshawn 2 out to die, and Nike basically put no effort into the PS8 campaign. Having Reynolds sit down with good YouTubers is more than other brands are doing. It feels like a legit product launch. And there will probably be new colorways dropping monthly for the remainder of 2025. What more can we expect?

Yeah I somewhat get it but I think the delays in shipping caused a bit of a stall then rush. Was too hard for logistics to build hype around one specific date.

I’m just siked I have them on my feet. 2 days straight, 12/13 hour days. Grey days 5/25 are a must.

TTS here, too. I bought an 11, wear 11 in 440/480/1010, as well.

This is not only the most sought-after dad skate shoe, it is also aimed precisely at this target group. Who else would buy a skate shoe for 150 bucks?

not sure if it's been posted yet but the numbers notched into the sole are major dates in his life, he went over them at slow impact. think there's his birth year, the year he began skating, the year he won SOTY, the year he started baker, the year stay gold came out, the year his daughter was born, the year he met his current wife, maybe the year he got on new balance? i don't remember them all offhand but those were definitely in the mix

I have skated the 440, 600, and 1010 extensively. Hated the 480, didn't like the 508. TTS in all.

The 993 is dope. Its like a 1010, but immediately has softer padding. If you take the shoe and twist it it is far more pliable than the 1010. Same if you bend the sole back and forth. I tried both on and the board feel is moderately better out of the box. The rear of your foot sits a bit lower/more even. Definitely less pronounced arch support. For me the 600 fit a tad bit wide. The 993 definitely has less vertical room in the toebox than the 600 or 1010. For me the fit is absolutely perfect and even if I do not tighten them much or use the last lace protectors there is zero heel slip. They look great in real life and the black/olive isn't bad.

Unfortunately my local isn’t getting them anytime soon so drunk me ordered a pair from SPoT last night. Didn’t even think to look if any other shops had them or had free shipping. Bank account definitely not hyped. I actually don’t plan to skate them at all. They will probably just become daily chillers for me. That could change though.

I pre-ordered a Nintendo Switch 2 yesterday then bought some 933s today. I got them from Embassy in Columbus, Ohio. Was surprised that they had 14s. My bank account hates me too.
