Just got the grey days and I love them and they’re super comfortable but there’s some glue stains I’m a little bummed on. They’re throughout both shoes unfortunately.

[close]
ur joking right? you could probably pick that off with your fingernails. they're skate shoes after all not some made in the UK new balance.

Yes lol it was a reference to a post earlier in this thread about glue marks on the green and black colorway. They’re fire dad shoes for walking my daughter and the most supportive skate shoes I’ve ever owned. Significantly better QC and craftmanship than the SB dunks I’ve skated lately and for the same price.

These shoes (933) definitely run big. My lock only had full sizes with their restock so I got a size 10 instead of my 9.5 size and they are most definitely longer than a normal size 10. I noticed next to my other shoes they stick out my shoe rack significantly more so I was measuring a couple other size 10 shoes I own and they’re a bit longer than every other size 10 shoe I have.

Other than that I love these right away. Wore em to work and they are easily the most comfortable and high quality skate shoe I’ve owned.

Are you talking about the 933?

I tried them on and they fit TTS for me

Anyone else’s 933 eyelets not lining-up? Above photo, and had to stab the top holes on the triangle at the top too.

Not terrible, but that lower hole being taut by the internal eyelet’s fabric being an inch above it is annoying. Happened to both shoes on the inner (arch side) side of the shoes.

Did anyone remove the tongue straps from their 933? If so, does the tongue move around much?

I usually remove the straps on the 440V2 low as they wrap around my left foot too tight/feel uncomfortable. But the tongue doesn't really slide around too much I find. Just wanted to check if that's the same with the 933, before breaking out the scissors.

I also removed the straps from the 440s and thought about doing the same for the 933. But I haven't done it yet becuse I am not sure if I wanna do that for 130 bucks shoes.

I chuckled while reading that.
Mine were rubbing a little my Achiles tendon on my pushing leg but after 2 sessions they're perfect for me.
Sticking to these now, my beloved 808 can rest now.
Sir, I'm going to politely, but firmly, ask you and your common sense to leave this establishment.

I don't know if I've ever seen a shoe be picked apart as much as the 933.  Is it the cost?  Was it the wait for the shoe that made people think it should be perfect given the time taken?  It seems crazy.  All of the issues mentioned I've had similar with pretty much any company over the years.  There will never be 1 shoe that is perfect for every person.  There will also never be a shoe that you can't find some glue if you look hard enough.  My thoughts on the 933.  As good as I can imagine it getting if you don't care about board feel.  Only thing I'd change is giving it longer laces and aesthetically keeping all outsoles one color.   The first I can easily address, the second is preference.  Neither matter.

FWIW, my sole has the same stuff mentioned by everyone else who's spoke up (one side is perfect the other has a bit of space) After a handful of sessions, it's really just an under the microscope issue and has not affected the shoes performance one bit, nor is it getting worse.  And the only person that will ever notice it was me, because I was looking for it, because of this thread haha

I dont have the 993s but I have the same issue as you with most NBs and did this to my well broken in 808s and they felt better than before. Tongue stays well in place.

i don't think the glue / gaps / quality control issues are that big of a deal, but i see more apologists making excuses for NB than complaints, and I am really curious if any other manufacturer would get the same level of good faith and rationalizations being made in support

I’ve had a few pairs of 1010s that have had qc issues and I will continue to buy that shoe until NB stops making them

Probably bc NB# has employees that come on here and who personally help out people who are having issues with ordering internationally, legit QC issues, etc whilst helping keep this site alive with ad sales.  They spread good will, so it’s easy to reciprocate

I plan on trying to grab that Camel colorway in a 12 when they arrive locally. Just curious if anyone who has copped either of the first colorways in 11.5+ noticed the lacing to get jacked at the top eyelets.

Everything else fit-wise is fine.

I compared another Grey pair in-store after purchase, and that also had the same issue with the last two sets of eyelets. No other colorways were there to compare it with. the shop I got em from is already strugglin to move merch so I won't return them.

Having to stab a hole through the leather upper, to split the difference between outer factory-eyelets is weak at $140 though. If I get a deck that's a second, I know what to expect. These Grey 933 aren't out here stamped as B-grade.

My grey days had a similar issue with the last two eyelets as well. I wonder if it’s a production defect on em. My black and olives fit as perfect as a shoe can, but the grey days feel off. One shoe seems wider than the other, and the other feels a lot tighter on the top of my foot than the black olives I have. I thought the opposite would be true being that the grey days have mesh and the black olives don’t.

Noted. Glad to know issues are consistent across the colorway at least.

I will definitely be looking to cop the other color and hope they fit like your olive/black pair does.

I love skating in my Numerics. 480s, 1010s, 600s, or 933s. They look good, are comfortable and I have no complaints. Which is probably against trend in this thread.

Don’t think they’re coming this year.  The 8 that have been revealed are this years colorways, I’d guess

Kinetic still has some good sizes up At time I'm posting this

Seriously doubt that they do. Back in the Parade days, I had multiple orders go through them and each time they ended up not remotely having what I ordered. Dudes even sent me a completely different pair of shoes one time.

For over a decade they always do well with my online orders, even the few I did through Parade years ago. Now they have the little note on their products page letting you know how well in stock each size is so you got that transparency and one of the owners is a NB rep so they will still do right by you if you ever have something wrong with your order, esp if you reach out via email.

Same here in terms of positive experiences with online orders at Kinetic. Also @benkinetic is among us
