I just got this in normal 11 , fit is good.

This is THE most beautifully made shoe I ever seen in person!!! Whoever made this CW has some insane vision!!!

Reminds me of a classic Jansport backpack (in a good way)

The brown 933s are my favorites. Had to order a pair. I’d love to see some with an all black sole and white upper, kinda like those 480s that came out a couple years ago.

I've been skating the 600 for like 6-7 hours. I love the fit. Best fit for me in a shoe in a loooong time. I love it that much that I ordered another pair just to chill in. Skating wise, they are a good medium between 1010 and 440. I wish they were just a tiny bit higher like 5mm but I love them. They seem to be durable even if all the stitching seem to get fucked kinda fast. I'll put some glue on the stitches but the material is holding up. The sole is really grippy.

Anybody experienced models fitting different depending on which materials have been used? Currently skating a 272 in smooth leather and they fit me perfect thus I bought another pair in sale in suede online. Somehow these feel half a size smaller.. it’s weird. Quality inconsistency?

I sent back the pair and found another all black one. Fits perfect in the US 11 I always have had. It’s kinda weird as both colorways have been suede and the grey pair fit at least half a size to size bigger. 272 is probably my favorite shoe, funnily as I’m not a huge fan of its design. Highly recommending it to anybody that seeks a wide toebox

Yes. My fave shoe from NB, with the 440 as a close second.

Agreed!   New colorways hit so good!

What’s that kind of solo called that the 600 and the Lakai Staple, DC Rick 1 all share where it’s the cup front and heel but has that little section between them

Thanks!    Noticed the club Cs are kinda of a hybrid version because they only do the dual cup on arch-side of the sole…or at least the Dime ones do.

Gave the 808 lites a try and sadly to me they aren’t nearly as good as the og. They feel familiar but all the things they took out of the original is what I loved about the shoe.

I loved how solid and secure the og 808 felt. The lites need to be tied so tight to feel locked in and the sole is too floppy for my preference.

Not sure what to try next, I’ve skated the 306, 440, 600, 933 and 1010 and they were all ok but nothing compared to the 808 to me.

Is the 480 comparable? Anyone have experience with those compared to the 808’s?

480 would be the closest for sure.

What's baffling to me is that some of my online shops sell the lites for more than the ogs were. I thought there would be slight drop in price because there's basically "less shoe" in the lites.

In all honesty I don't understand why Tiago has 2 pro shoes at the same time.

If I had to guess, he was contractually offered two shoes and both shoes sell well enough that it never made sense to drop one.

Foy has had iterations of the 306 (slip and rumored upcoming cup), but never had a second model, but even if he did, I couldn’t imagine them ever dropping the 306 out of the line up.   I forgot the reason the 1st westgate got dropped, but it was a mold issue or tech thing.

I imagine the great challenge at NB# is even finding what needs would need to be addressed with a new shoe.   There’s seemingly a beloved model for whatever type of shoe you need.   The only thing I could really think is a permanent slip (not sure if the Foy one is still running) or a higher numbered mid top

Just wanted to say that after skating my third pair of the 600 for 3-4 sessions now, I remain a true believer of the awesomeness of the shoe. They're a perfect combination of protection, lightness and boardfeel.

Still to try a suede 600, though. Looking forward to it.

I believe when the 808 originally came out, the NB guys said the original goal was to make a pricepoint version of a Tiago shoe, but they couldn't figure out/didn't want to cut materials to make it cheaper, so they just ended up with a 2nd similar price shoe. Seems like the new 808 Lite was them actually achieving the original brief they set out for and making their merch team happy.

The post above: that sounds so anti corporate I can respect it. After getting a pair of the 933’s I totally believe they didn’t want to cheapen the 808.

I would totally buy a 306 cup sole. I’m sure Foy just likes a basic shoe and it’s his shoe so it’s his preference but I find it odd their arguably best skater on a technical level gets the least tech shoe.

I agree. I mean I am not jumping down anything crazy so perhaps maybe impact could be where this shoe doesn't make sense but as far as the rest, it's a great shoe. Also they positioned the laces perfectly where I can't rip them for the life of me and that is a total pet peeve of mine.

Jake Hayes was skating a slip on in one of his earlier death wish parts and this was before the foy came out iirc and I’ve always wondered if there was supposed to be a slip permanently in the line and it got repositioned as a 306 variant since they looked too similar.

Vans?   Rowan got the exact shoe he wanted and seems the same with Curren.   Elijah supposedly didn’t really involve himself much which is why he got something he didn’t care about.    AVE - who knows?   He seems to like that shoe

Picked up a pair of the 430s a while ago.  Here to voice it's a super solid shoe and the full length midsole is great.  The sole is more flexible than other NB cupsoles which I really like.  The cons are the toebox is pretty narrow and the sole is less grippy than other NB cupsoles.  Not ready to say I like them more than the 600s, but it's at least close.
