Anybody skate the 770 yet? The upper looks good but I’ve never been a big fan of that flared out foam midsole on a skate shoe and the outsole tread looks kind of marginal.

at this point i'm just impressed with the nb designers' ability to make a classic colorway like an all black look bad. like why is there 4 shades of black? why is the heel tab leather if the toebox is suede? why is the toebox suede if there's no suede anywhere else on the shoe? what's up with the nubuck and why couldn't that be suede?

Fingers crossed someone from within hears our pleas. Let time tick is just what I’ll do. A slip on upper with like a 440 sole would be amazing

i dont think the 306 slip sold super well. slips are such a hard thing, most people just buy vans, but i guess converse slips have been around for a while and the janoski slip stays around sometimes. as for the 306 slip, i really like them, they skated super well and just worked for me.

I bought a pair for dirt cheap to try, but they broke in too big to skate. Would go half size down and buy some if they come back.

Really late to the new balance party. Got my first pair of 272s recently. Overall I really like the shoes but they are a bit too roomy. I have them in 13 but there are no 12.5s I believe? Does any of the other vulcs or slim cupsoles have a different sizing where people usually go a half size up?

Skating a pair of 440 hi v2 and noticed that this. Looks like the middle is being separated from the upper. Anyone ever experience this?

does anyone really prefer this

to this

now i see that the N looks embroidered, which 1) makes it unremovable and 2) introduces another shade of black lol

it's like they wanted it to stick out from the other all black shoes as much as possible while still technically being all black

It doesn't look like a final catalog shoot but more like a sample picture. The end result might look way different.

I’ve been wanting to try to some 440 v2 lows for a while but I’m a color way coward and just want some black and white shoes. Roth you got any black and white ones cooking over there?

440 lows fit small… usually a centimeter or two shorter than most other models in the same size, including the 440 hi.

They do this a lot… like the perforated leather N on the new white/gum 600s.

Colored in the logo and swapped the black laces for white ones on my chocolate collab 480 highs and really liking how they look. I'm probably going to wear them around for a few weeks to break them in and then skate them next.

Those are it. Have you skated a pair before these? Curious how they compare to 440 high.

They are much different.

The 440s are like a slightly stiffer blazer

The 480s are like a slightly less stiff dunk

The 480 feel like a stiffer dunk tbh. There's more sole heel to toe than an SB Dunk.

It’s almost like the brand wants to advertise their brand with their logo on their shoe, so people see them and go, ‘damn! I need to get those fresh ass shoes!’ and they know exactly where to start looking.

I struggle to understand the hate for the new balance N from a group of people that claim to like new balance shoes. But hey, there’s no love like slap hate, so carry on pals.

I only skate the highs, and that part of the shoe is def stiffer on the dunks. They feel boot like in comparison to the 480, very thick padding around the collar and they're very boxy shaped. The sharper edge on the dunk outsole also contributes to that clunky stiff boot feeling for me as well.

You are right about there being more midsole in the 480 though.

IMHO, the 440s are closer to Dunks than the 480s because of the thick sole.
