I was wearing a lace up brace for years, almost 10 years, I froced myself to lose about 20 lbs a few years ago and I don't wear it anymore, but with age comes new exciting injuries, I am living with some amazing hip pain right now.

I only wear vulc becaus I can tfind cupsoles anymore. I would love to wear shes from 08-07, everything was really nice then...or maybe I'm just thinking abou the glory days.

Too bad Amazon's "Find the Right Size" button/feature hasn't hit all the shoes yet. It's pretty helpful if it's accurate.

Ha! I think maybe we're just a demographic whom are under-serviced. I skate with about ten other older dudes who also complain about finding skate shoes that work for them.

Vans have always worked for me. GT blazers are okay but a little on the normal side of wideness. I usually try to pay attention to how far down shoes lace and where the pinch points are. The bottom of the shoe will usually tell you how wide they are but I'm no expert.

Great post topic. Been liking the Lakai selects recently. They're still kind of a slim shoe but still wide enough. Also, cant go wrong with vans half cabs either if you dont mind a midtop..

My feet are hella wide and these are the only shoes ive never had to stretch out.

All the adidas stuff with the superstar/suciu insole (the big thick blue ones) are generally pretty wide.

OG Manchester selects are pretty wide, and I thought the Busenitz OG Pro's were wide, but the vulcs are bit wider.

If you like Adidas's I would also try out the ZX Vulc or the Suciu's.

There aren't really that many wide skate shoes I can think of off the top my head (except for dunk's, and I'm not a dunk guy), and the best thing I would recommend, and the most obvious, is just going to your local shop and trying a few different shoes on!

99% of skate shoes turn into slippers (except for half cabs) after a couple days so don't need wide ones. Just suffer through it for a couple days.

I'm incredibly old with the widest feet in recorded history. Shoe stretchers work well. New Balance makes a shoe that comes in EE (extra wide) called the 574 that can be found online. They aren't technically skate shoes but they do an excellent impression of them.

Straye has some good wide feeling shoes :the Venice and Stanley are legit vulcs that are a little wider.

Pointed/ skinny toe boxes are so bad for feet. Especially while skating. Wish more skate shoes had normal or wider toe box areas.

I had those hitop strayes, sz 11 canvas and my foot was way too cramped. I ended up getting rid of them after one session. But sz11 es accel slims feel fine for me. They are my go to shoe. Must be different foot shape.

I really like the feel of Vans Half Cabs. It seems like after a sesh they stretched to the perfect width for my wide feet.

NB 212's and 868's are wide (normal sizing, i wear 10s). 533's are narrow (1/2 size up at least, i go 10.5).

Vans 100%, they didn’t even start out as skate shoes. They started out doing custom shoes for fucked feet. They make shoes wide as fuck, just go to an outlet, there’s a bunch across the US. There mall/corps stores sell shit three times the price, and u can always get pro shoes at $30 in strange sizes.

the lakai proto is pretty wide. id also suggest the dc legacy slim (called the slim because its not as bulky as the original). also whoever said jack purcell for wide feet is insane...all chucks are tiny as fuck.

Vans is pretty much all I wear. They tend to stretch and if they feel tight, I just bend them a bunch and the loosen up.

I’ve tried on the NB# Arto once, and I’d have to agree, they’re decently wide.

Shoe company sizes can vary significantly. My feet are big and I struggle with the right size. I had size 13 adidas busenitz that smashed my toes together, removing the insoles didn’t even help. Meanwhile vans 13 felt like clown shoes damn near falling off. 13 Nike Sb dunk’s, Air Force 2 and kostons work best for me.
