Germany axe attack: Assault on train in Wuerzburg

A teenage Afghan refugee armed with an axe and knife injured four people on a train in southern Germany before being shot dead by police, officials say.

Initial reports said up to 20 people had been injured but it was later revealed that at least 14 had been treated for shock.
The motive for the attack is not yet clear.
Bavarian Interior Minister Joachim Herrmann said the attacker was a 17-year-old Afghan refugee who had been living in the nearby town of Ochsenfurt.

1 guy shouldn't be able to injure 14 people... seriously, if you find yourself in a shitty situation like this, gather some people and fucking jump the guy. use a hoody, backpack or whatever to get close without being hit, then punch his face until he stops moving. then punch a lot more.

i'm sorry but you have no idea what youre talking about. you really think rational thinkng comes into play when youre in a bus stop and someone starts chopping people up with an axe?
not alot of people can think straight when shit like that goes down, most people run and try to save their\their kids life.
living in a place where attacks like that are fairly common in the last year you could tell that even in places where most people served in the army, or have some kind of security background, attacking the terrorist is not always the first thing you do if you dont have a gun on you. not saying it doesnt happen, a dude broke a guitar on an attacker here and stopped him and it happend a bunch of other times, but its rare. most people would run away.

Two or so Americans stopped a guy on the Thalys, a train from Amsterdam to Paris. That guy had multiple weapons, including a kalashnikov. He hadn't started his attack though, I think he was heard cocking a gun in the lavatory. Two of the guys who jumped him had an army background if I remember correct. So, it does happen. But by and large I think people panic in that situation. It would reflect pretty horribly on society if they didn't, really.

there is said in spiegel forums to be a video circulating of one of the alleged shooters on the parking deck where he's heard saying that he's german and out for "kanacken", but i can't find it, so this just a rumor.

seems there was one guy outside mcdonalds, one guy in the mall, and one on the top parking deck shooting down.

according to police, the found body belongs to the gunman, who is now said to have acted alone and died of a self inflicted gunshot wound.

total body count now 10 including the alleged shooter. situation seems to be over. public transportation has picked up again, people are getting led out of the mall by police.
