I don't have a facebook account but was able to see this on the SMA FB page. No details but I think they are on the way...

Tiago 1010s. Been watching his footage a lot and they look so sick on him but I’m hesitant because I don’t know if they will look sick on me. Also heard so many different things about whether they run big or small

Thinking of sizing up to 8.5
Once I wear these 8.25 trucks down, I am doing it.
So an 8.5 with mellow kicks, and some 8.5 Ventures are on the horizon. Till then, lots of grinds on the smaller trucks. Too bad I skate once a week. This will take forever.

Get those slappys in on some rougher curbs, should help a bit! Long-lasting trucks are a blessing and a curse, I feel you.

I had some 54mm 95a nomads. They were very good. A perfect compromise between cruiser and hard street wheel and fully functional. Held up well also. I used them last winter for indoor spots. My go to winter spot is a pretty rough parking garage. Sections of it are oil slick slippery and other parts are as rough as a rhino's arse. The curbs are haggard and also either super slick or insanely grippy. The Nomads handled that shit perfectly. I would have got a bigger set but 54s were the biggest they did last year.

I have to say though I do prefer conical full Spitfire 97s for the same application.

Thanks, 97a F4s are under heavy consideration too. But in reality I have like 4 good sets of wheels I need to use first lol

Max Palmer Limosine Pro Model.

Not only because it is Max, but the 8.25 has some awesome specs. I am soo hyped! Any chance to get that in Europe? If not, when?

This is more of a summer ass hat since it's cold as hell (beanie season) but it looks cool.

Will definitely get the 5.0 lows like next month.  Time to set up this 7.5 slowly but surely.  At least I have some wheels already.

Really contemplating getting one of the Jake Johnson Quasi boards, I've been watching his Purple part and that "Somewhere in Pennsylvania" part a lot and it has me wanting to try one out pretty bad. My only hesitation is wheelbase/length since I tend to ride shorter boards (I really like that 14.12-14.18" WB range Hockey does, though I'm not really a fan of the graphics at all). Should I go ahead and jump on "4-Wheel Drive" deck? I like that Miami graphic a lot but it's a bit longer shape than the 4WD. FWIW, I ride Venture 5.6 Hi's with 54mm spitfire conical fulls.

This is a beautiful board. I saw it at the park. I luv tri color veneers. I might try to cop a few boards that got mad colors on the veneers I don't even give a s*** about the graphic

Yeah Dwindle really do excel at the multi coloured ply layers in most of their upper end boards (most pro boards, but not all) and I have friends who always 100% take whatever graphic on them straight off first, but they hold up well to what they give them, so double plus there.

Do Campus’ or any other similar adidas shoe have a thicker/better midsole than the non-skate superstar? Does the pro model have the same midsole?

I’ve been tempted to try the 8.12 x 31.32 shape from deluxe, I’m curious to see if a shorter board will help me. I’m a pretty small guy and normally skate 8’s but I’m wondering if the extra width is a good trade off or if it would feel like too much.

Anyone skated that shape?

That board is a fairly small board, but I will say that when I went from 8 to 8.1 many years ago, it just felt so much more comfortable and sturdy, without being too big like an 8.25 board, which just felt like a boat at the time.

Now I am on much bigger boards, but that is besides the point.

The DLX Shapes thread had more info, or so I thought, but I couldn't find anything other than this post:

https://www.slapmagazine.com/index.php?topic=85076.msg3657099#msg3657099

I was skating the shape 8.12x31.3x14 for more than a year now and there was always one available either through AH or Krooked and sometimes Real. It seems that there is none currently, also not in the catalogs. Anyone knows whats up? I am based in Europe for the record.

@Eds_gallerist is still around, so might be able to answer

Totally get that. I actually just got back to an 8 after trying a 7.88, and I just couldn’t do it. The 8 was so much more comfortable. Next time I see an 8.12 at my local I’ll probably give it a shot, appreciate the info

Been meaning to give Slicks a try and saw a Madness 8.125 Minds Eye. The nose is listed as shorter than the tail, 6.5" vs 7.0", can anyone confirm this? Looks like it would be a weird shape.

Sick of hunting for WBSW decks in shapes I like. Have had to compromise on wood (skating Tired decks... not a PS Stix guy) or pay extra for overseas shipping when I could just cop the Chems tool and skate a Surf Sr. or 9in popsicle with a modified 14in wheelbase.

Polar shapes and graphics are the best, and since they don't offer a wide one with a 14in wb (that I know of), gotta put the drill to use.

The one I’m on right now is PS Stix, and flexy…and soggy. Done with Quasi after this, I just don’t vibe with their decks. I’ve tried three of them.

I had this board, to the eye it seems no different than a board with the dimension around the other way. It retained it's pop, really well (I had the one with slick on the nose and tail) if you get one with the wheel wells, sand them down as they tend to be sharp.

My board was setup with indy 139's on a 8.25 at my local skate shop when I first started skating. I knew nothing about truck sizes and just asked the guy there to handle all of it.

Been thinking about getting indy 144s for a couple of months but Im not sure whether they will even feel that different compared to the 139s I already have.

Also been wanting to try spitfire formula 4 conical full bc my local shop didnt have them at the time I set up my board so I currently have orbs spectres.
Its so difficult to hold back from trying new gear

When I first tried out my F4s it was like someone just put on a smooth jazz cassette tape, straight up romance.
I've got classics at the moment and want to try the 52mm tabs out they look kinda cool, nice shape.
