Those AA indies. I definitely don’t need trucks and usually dislike pro colorway trucks in general but for some reason I feel like I need those.
Correction.
You NEED anything and everything related to AA.
You can't go wrong. You'll be flying across the Baja dessert on your motorcycle with the wind in your full luscious hair. You'll be doing graceful cutbacks at Trestles on your shelf-shaped surfboard. You'll be watching your exotic girlfriend play in her rock band, bewitching songs played just for you. You'll get the lead role in a remake of a beloved 80s movie. and most importantly you'll be blindside kick flipping into impossibly steep banks.
I’ll take two sets!
I caved in, and got a set of the 159s in case I need the old school mounting pattern, which is a bullshit excuse. If there’s a St. Patrick’s Day sale, I’ll probably get another set in 144s.
Also, I keep thinking about getting the Little Cados (Doodies), but I can’t bring myself to check out either out of embarrassment or the fact that I’ll immediately swap them out for Radial Fulls once they no longer amuse me.
Are you sure the 159’s come with 6 holes since they’re a pro model?
Any and every Stage XI truck 109, 159, 169, 215 in cast baseplates all have six holes, although some of the extra two sets of holes have a little difficulty lining up in old school hole patterns oddly enough. That includes mids too. All the Stage IV reissues also have six holes.
It is only the forged baseplates that are four hole only for every option.
Might just be a personal preference but besides plain silver, the old classic black baseplates with silver hangers are a tried and true colourway, which is always going to sell well. AA is on a good one there, especially thinking about some of the other truck colourways I have seen in the last few years.
Thinking back, almost everything to do with Andrew Allen sells well - the Spitfire wheels instantly sell out, his old boards used to always sell fairly quickly, his shoe sold out, etc. I guess I am a bit of an Andew Allen fan as well.
