Hang it, there's hella couch shapes to skate
what shapes/ brands are you feeling? I could probably get an AH brown bomber from the same shop I'm about to buy a tonne of stuff for!

skate all the boards! you can still hang it skated and value the sentimental value of a chico board.
keeping decks unskated just pays up if you want to resell them "mint condition" (but then don't even set them up)
or if the graphics are super good and imho the chico graphic is random and not one i would admire on my wall.
that's usually my approach but I kind of regret skating my welcome chris miller re-issue. yes, the Chico board isn't the greatest graphic but it is gonz + super limited so if I was going to hang some gonz art in my place this would probably be the one.

that might be pushing it but i rode mine with 149s and it was fine.
I have a pair of 149 thunders lying around so that could work. total DLX setup

That’s why I had to buy two! If I had only been able to get one though I’d probably save it to hang.
yeah, I saw that, you did it the right way! I actually know where I can get a chocolate chico big boy for quite cheap so I'm thinking that's what I might do...

Impish sausage is definitely gonna blow up as a euphemism this year

If you get a brown bomber, please post a pic. Stumbled across this one on Instagram and it looks so nice.

Love the BB! Here's my last one with Thunder 151s. I used Ace 44s on it also. Such  rad shape. I have another in the back up pile to skate.FYI its under 9"s and might not belong in this thread....

do you know what the rear tapered to? Truck width? Seems like 44 would be narrow and 55’s preferred but maybe it tapers more than I thought.

I can't quite remember but 55s would be way too much over hang for my tastes. I'm old and if I skate shaped boards I like to make sure the back has no overhang/ frankenstein scenario because that's how we set up shaped boards in the 80s/90s. That's why Ace need an 8.75" truck. If I was going to use Ace on the TG I'd use 44s with extra washers and wide wheels.

Word is that there will be one in the next couple months.  8, 8.25, 8.5, 8.75, 9

Thanks, some of your setups made me realize that a football with big wheels doesn't look too bad.

Truly shocking but I haven't been getting any wheelbite even with the 60s. It also flips better than when I had 51s or 55s on it.

That’s good to hear and I actually find the large wheels and tapered kick combo to be really functional and fun

Probably closer to Spring. I hear there are more tweaks they are working on. I saw a prototype 44 (now 8.25") and it looked great. As I understand it 55s will be 8.5, 66s will be 8.75 and 77s will be 9.125". Mirroring Indy/ Thunder sizes... but who knows...

I love how that looks with the 55mm Spits, I'm pretty sure I remember you posting that and seeing it got me hyped. I wish I didn't have another board on deck or I'd get one to run with some of those and some Ace 44s.

Yeah, I had some kind of aversion to it but seeing it more and more has made me really like how it looks.

Got a Welcome Flying Ape on the Banshee shape (9.25 x 32.375, 14.375" wb) today.  I bought it with the idea of keeping it as a single-purpose bowl/tranny board and was going to set it up with my 55s and some 58mm SPFs I had lying around.  Anyone got any experience with that shape?  Sounded fun to blast around on something like that, so I hope it works out okay.

Does anyone know the width of the Santa Cruz old school Winkowski boards (specifically https://shop.ccs.com/santa-cruz-winkowski-ghost-powerply-preissue-skateboard-deck-10-34 ) at the truck mounting holes? I was thinking 8.5, but im sure there's someone who knows here

edit: looking to see if it can run 159 indys
thanks, and shalom

The dude himself runs it with 159s I think. My friend has 149s on it and it doesn't look weird.

159s go very well with it. especially with square or wider wheels.

169 are nice too, on it but make it feel a good bit bigger.

I have the plain ghost one and it’s 9 at the front truck and 8.25 at the back truck. I used 169’s on it but I imagine 159’s would be a little nicer

Mostly generator but a few are south central.
It's tough to always list that but we can always check before you order.
