Hyped that the Independent 215 trucks will be available again soon... Thanks for the info! At the start of the "Evolution Of My Ride" video, Danny explains that the Independent 215 trucks are perfect for the 9.5, but that he needs to cut them down for another board that he rides. I definitely used said video as a reference when planning the assembly of the "Danny Dicola Ditch Demon". I just pulled out the deck and it does in fact have a 14.5" wheelbase for anyone who was wondering...
[close]

i don't know why he's saying that? in the clip he has the 9.5" board set up with 169's and 54ishmm wheels.

the 215's he cuts down go on what looks like an 8.5" Slave Rat Racer with a War Pig heat transfer.

edit. looks like there was a smaller 8.5" War Piglet way back when.
[close]

Yeah, the trucks on the bigger warpig don't really look like 215s in that shot with both of the set-ups, so I am a bit confused myself. However, I don't know if you saw the "Drain Scouting With Danny Dicola" feature that Monster Children recently put out, but he is definitely skating 215s on his ditch board...

https://www.monsterchildren.com/97549/drain-scouting-with-danny-dicola/

cool, going to watch.

Bought some Lizzie Armanto Vans Era Pro on sale for €32. I haven't skated era pros for a year at least, but I really actually like them a lot. And they're pink so that's pretty cute I guess.

Old board at a good price, can't complain. Love Primitive 8.5's
Currently is super hard to find F4 in here, found those cheap and + I've always wanted res wheels.
All good.

I just got some of the low profile Footprint insoles, and despite them being the appropriate size they seem to have a tough time sitting flat in my shoe. I dunno if it's just a coincidence but after the first session my back really hurts which has not been the case for recent sessions otherwise.

I also tried these insoles for a while, my back hurted just from walking. But I still dig the orthotics for walking and skating.

I was able to buy the black on black thunder 149 teams small usa stamp base plates with the ??? bearings that are nice af now I rebuilt them and the whatever wheel "this wheels is waterproof" alien looking graphic wheels for basically like $30

He has the stock bushings crushed into his old indy lows which is a bummer because these bones kinda suck in this truck...

Never had a reynolds shoe and looking for a G6 found these for 30 including intl. shipping, they are like new. Seems like the suede on the toe is kinda slim but i think i'm gonna skate them anyways.

Was going to get a wknd deck but wasn't sure how the shape was. So I got a tactics deck to try the mellow concave and bought a wknd hat instead to throw a couple duckets at them.

Beautiful😍

Tried a pair on today but they only came in 1/2 a size too small for me and the toe box was really tight.

Darkstar 8.0: Smaller than I would like but at $25 I thought why not, the graphics are shit and I'm not a Harley fan but dammit my first board was a Darkstar and I'm getting it! Should be fine for a smaller technical ride with Low trucks.
eS Square 3: I'm a goddamn sucker for the Accel but they are too puffy for this day and age. The Accel Slim is slightly better but I'm not a fan of cupsoles, board feel > feet protection. They feel like a slimmer Accel Slim with a Vulc some with a wide enough toebox to fit my Sasquatch feet.

I have some Reynolds G6 and they won’t fucking die. They are to the point where I’m looking at new shoes just because I want something new but can’t justify it because these shoes are nowhere’s near done and it’s been probably 4-5 months of skating them.

To be honest those accel slims have the thinnest ”cup”soles I’ve ever tried, my regular vans authentics have more padding in their soles lol.

It was a toss up between the Square 3 and Accel Slim, the toe box was what swung made me choose the Square 3. Still looking to get a pair of Accel Slims just for walking about, really nostalgic about that shoe.

Og classic 52s which I am loving the feel and the shape them.

Primitive p 8.38 deck in yellow. Didn't realize primitive does different wood for pp decks. Might just be a wall hanger and I'm not even mad.

Ordered some 52 f4 conical full 99a that I'm stoked to try. It'll be my first f4 set. I've always rode bones for some reason but those og classics got me on a spitfire vibe.

The plain script and the plain dirty p. Also kinda obvious but usually the cheaper decks, 40-45 $.
