USELESS WOODEN TOY BANTER / Re: psychological attributes in great sk8rs

That David Foster Wallace quote is great.

Then there are also pros who have the sensitivity. They know how to make a trick look good, care about execution and trick selection. They dance and they think about it, maybe they just repeat enough to get in the flow and enter the mindless zone.

I'm super curious about the correlation between ADHD and skateboarding.
Skateboarding can help regulate a busy mind, perfect vessel for hyper-focus and cruising around provides a ton of novelty. Been seeing lots of my long-time skate friends posting about ADHD, but don't have much more than an anecdotal take.

I keep coming back to this video. As one naturally does with  Limosine edits. It’s weird to think a company essentially failing could lead to a new company’s eventual greatness. I wish the world had more Alex Olson footage, but I’m grateful that the trade off instead is that we get Limosine.

I don’t know why I felt so compelled to muse on the subject, but it was on my mind during the work day.

I feel like Alex was the type to say no to alot of 917 team rider ideas but have no alternatives to act on. The fact that they were still able to produce two influential videos (at least 1 considered influential) under this environment is a testament to the work ethic of logan lara and the bulk of current limo riders.

Thanks for dropping the ball, AO, and inadvertently giving us Limosine. We’re all grateful.

I’m looking forward to more Aaron Loreth footage in the upcoming “Doomed From the Jump” LRAB video.

Back in the day he was pro for Rookie, a smaller NY-based company. He had clips in the EST video magazine, photos in mags.

I mean I don't know him or have ever met him, but he's always in the mix and is very well-liked. I think Ted Barrow called him the "guru of good times" once.

His brother is Marc Razo I believe, who was maybe a co-owner or manager of Max Fish if I'm not mistaken. Since that bar was (is?) a big deal in skating, I guess that helped.

He had a board on Shut too! But yeah, he's a ripper and everyone seems to have great things to say about him all the time.
