Just got a new Terror of Planet X "Mausoleum" deck. It's my second Quincy deck and while I'm not crazy about the concave/shape it's mellow and neutral so it doesn't bother me, but I really like the pop. They almost feel lacquered or something, but they're stiff as hell and just bounce off the ground like a spring.

A quick lesson in why nostalgia is often misleading, I sought out and bought some Black Magic grip a while back and I decided to use it for this deck. It's very smooth like I remembered but I had forgotten just how thin it is. I took a spin to the store and stopped off in a parking lot to play around a little and just in the course of maybe 5 minutes and a dozen attempted tricks it's already chipping around the nose. The deck barely has a scratch on it but the grip looks like it's a month old already. I guess we sometimes forget that there's a reason these products fall out of favor in the first place.

I also got some Hard Luck 6 Ball bearings that are ok, but hopefully they speed up. I ordered what I thought were regular sized hard luck 92a medium bushings but they're fucking tall longboard style bushings so I'm going to have to either cut them or just throw them away. It would have been nice if they'd specified that in the ad.

Been slowly rebuilding my skate DVD collection lately and tend to buy random rare dvds when I come across them. Came up on this one the other day, stoked!

Amazing. I have Dizzy but always wanted this one. Ever since I came across the "htkjn" video on YouTube over a decade ago I always combed eBay to see if a copy was available. It's also how I discovered Ciccone Youth.

just got bones bushings for the first time for my used thunder 148s.  i honestly expected to not notice much of a difference but i really like them.

skating my first theories deck.  really like it.  feels similar to the habitat nasa board i had just before.

my local got these sick isle boards in stock so i picked one up for when the theories board is done.

yea ive been on an ancient civilization kick recently
Also you’ve been on some serious bbs/gen kick, all those boards you mentioned are great boards, can’t go wrong with generator wood.

I’ll see if I can upload a better quality of it since there’s only that crappy one. Also I’m looking for Dizzy next!

Just got these Gilbert 1's at a Mormon owned thrift store. Since they are pros with the Ultracush insole they are a half size big but for $6 I can't complain. Plus, as you can see, the tread is still practically perfect and the collar still has all of it's padding.

edit: I forgot, I also bought some clothes and took all the hangers off and hung them on the rack by register so the cashier didn't have to just to be nice and because of that he gave me the shoes for $3. Might as well just robbed them for them haha.

BTL, Toronto skater? I got that dream girl deck too! but the pearly white one. Been tempted to pick up one of the matte black dream hawk decks he just put out but the shipping to get them up north is brutal.

Kitchener/Waterloo - I order most of my stuff from Toronto.

The JK deck is gorgeous. No joke about the shipping lol

I wish I had gotten the white pearl. I thought it was sold out but it definitely was not.

psyched to support fellow NJ folk Dick Rizzo, that 8.12", 14.125" wheelbase PS shape is my favorite thing to skate right now. and the materials that make up that hat had me sold right away. foam brim, water resistant nylon fabric

Bought a real 8.25 Full SE, gripped it, and already don't wanna ride it at all. Got a pile of decks like that in the closet.

I thought it was really close to this Generator shape that a shop uses for their decks.  I also dislike Real normally, but figured the shape matters more. What mostly bothers me is the top is fully painted and makes the grip look heinous/I fucked up gripping part of it a bit.

Isle boards are fucking amazing, best deck I've ever had hands down.

Europe or America? Currently skating one, but I'm in america so idk if the shapes are the same everywhere. 8.125 Mike Arnold deck. Really enjoying it.

They really should have put the Allen & Phillips heads the other way around on that Ace tool. Makes no sense for them to be this way IMO. Other than that it seems pretty cool.
