Already knew Skye was on Tag, but pretty crazy that they built this for her:

Saw this as well. I'd say it's priceless as it was to commemorate his SOTY achievement.

For reference, there’s similar watch on an auction site in Japan priced at 65K, and that’s without the whole one of a kind SOTY engraving (which probably would be nothing to regular watch nerds that don’t skate)

I ordered a skx013 off eBay. But after arriving, it appeared to be frankensteined. Clean as a whistle, but the seconds hand would stick and it would run fast. Ended up mailing it back for refund. Really dreaded dealing with that bs again and risking another one on eBay. So, Decided to just get a new seiko sport 5 at retail price for $240.

In other seiko news... I just bought a quartz Grand Seiko. I was so close to getting an explorer, but all things considered the GS made more sense for so many reasons. I was really into the spring drive, but the right size/style combo just wasn't out there for what I want right now. I wasn't even looking at the quartz, but really like the size and case shape so much more.

Should have it in the mail tomorrow.

No, it's new. I love vintage, but ultimately decided I needed something ultra reliable, weatherproof, etc. Also don't want to get stabbed to death wandering around the city drunk in the middle of the night for my watch. Only a watch nerd would stab you over a Grand Seiko.

Looking for a new quartz field watch. Sub $200.

If I’m going close to that limit, the Vaer looks like a good bet. However, I’m wondering how some of the cheaper options stack up? The Timex Expedition North series looks decent. What else should I consider?

nice, what’s the reference no?
I see what you mean about having a nice modern/ reliable watch though; all my shit is vintage lately but I ended up picking up another Oris big crown pointer as a dress-ish watch just because it’s modern/ reliable/ no fuss

Got this for a really really good price! Needs a bit of work, but it’s in great shape for a watch made in 1967. Also really hard to take (good) pics of because the dial changes so much depending on the light.

For sale.  New/unused Foundation watch 2002ish, quartz 38mm.  Lume is good, bezel clicks nicely.  I bought a new battery, but I can't find it, I will look again.  New 377 battery is under $2.  It's a bit dusty, and the strap isn't the best, but I used it for a couple of years when I originally bought it.  Had all three in the shop when new, black one sold, blue one never did.

I put a new battery in and bought this strap for under $5.00 from amazon.  Been wearing it a bit.

If you're interested let me know.
I'm posting from my blackberry wtf?!?!?

My SRPD and uncle seiko bracelet arrived the same day. Really liking it! Was able to have the new bracelet installed and resized in exchange for the stock seiko bracelet.
