After years of idea and speech suppression it seems time to advocate for a higher entropy submanifold of allowed opinions, disorder escalation, an archetypal fan-out. Punk (not the market-driven simulacrums that followed) was a miraculous and needed entropic opening almost instantly neutered by neo-liberalism, which structurally and necessarily drives conformity.

Maybe at this point we’re sterile, boring and trapped and don’t realize it and should be looking for new ways out. The current AI aesthetic needs to evolve before it becomes interesting, it will. But the culture desperately needs more agents of chaos not less imo.

Why do you talk this way?
[close]

That’s funny, I didn’t quite realize my writing comes off as strange and stilted (never really write publicly) but reading it back yeah I see what you mean, think I might be a little on the spectrum. To be fully transparent with my method: I write and rewrite trying to be succinct and persuasive and so try to distill as much information into the smallest space as possible (big fan of how good poetry does this seemingly magically). So perhaps unconventional word choices that pack a lot of meaning are attractive to me. Not willfully trying to use arcane language for the sake of it, just like words that are conceptually dense and richly expressive. But ya I need to find a less annoying way to do it.

Thanks for the feedback, I’d actually like to become a good writer someday.

go check out Elements of Style and remember “to write well is to think clearly” and all that

Swan said “it’s all love” with him and FA/Dill. But we remember the post and delete saying he didn’t get a farewell. Also he confirms Vincent on Edglrd.

I enjoy not only the skating of swan, vincent, and elijah, but they all have great fits at all times as well.  excited to see what comes of this but that design studio and IR talk leads me to believe the output will be style over substance. hope I’m wrong

I hate everything about this brand. Cringy pretentious hot garbage. Pretty much perfect fit for Sean but I hate that Vincent is on this shit.

Yep. So bummed Touz is a confirmed tropical EDGLRD. It’s crazy that he basically didn’t put out anything substantial while on FA for three years.

Dill’s whole personality is based on Harmony Korine’s work. I’d jump ship to the original also.

I wish i had the clip but theres an interview with dill talking about reboot alien. He says is like a band who gets all new musicians. Its basically a different band now.

He could say the same thing about fa.

both of these graphics go, really like that they're doing something different. Swan also posted a black logo board on his insta that is one of the better just logo graphics I have been in a minute.

Aren’t those graphics just the poster for Aggro Drift? He had Gummo boards with supreme a couple years back.

Primitive art department approvals suck so it works out

We’re post representational with Limo, Frog, Quasi etc favoring abstraction. FA/Killing floor with collage.

nothing's been the since same

The population of Chicago is 2.7M vs. 440K in Miami; but still, it seems like a Supreme store on Lincoln Road would get eaten up.

You wouldnt be able to wear half the stuff supreme releases in Florida because it gets so hot and humid.

I think that’s just within the city limit. The population of Dade County is closer to 2.5M, plus you have Ft Lauderdale and West Palm close by. Lots of tourists visiting year round as well. They def could do a store on Lincold Rd like you mention or the Design District. That would be funny seeing someone wear a Supreme x North Face Puffer on a hot sunny day.
