If you don't get wheelbite you're not riding loose enough.

It's like the trucks are loose for 90% of the turn, you start to get a significant resistance only in the last 10%, if that make sense.

Has the kingpin clearance improved significantly at all since V1?
I'm getting to that point where the kingping is getting hung up on shit repeatedly from grinding the hanger down.

I knocked them out to replace with Thunder hollow kingpins (which are significantly lower than Ace stage 1 kingpins) only to find out that the difference in length is negligible.Quote from: whatsreallygood on June 28, 2019, 11:29:30 AMExpand QuoteI'm getting to that point where the kingping is getting hung up on shit repeatedly from grinding the hanger down.[close]Still better than brand new Thunders .

Thanks man, appreciate the info, about how significant is the difference? Don't need like exact measurements or anything just curious since I'm considering upgrading to the newer revisions at some point.

Although when the truck is put together, it doesn't look like there's a whole bunch of kingpin clearance. I've not experienced any serious hangups, though.

I skate 44 and 55 for cruiser and they feels great. I just had to superglue all of the kingpin nuts cos they kept loosening and falling off. That's more like when loose trucks end up lives I guess.
Cool. Thanks. Ace pivot cups are less than 5€ from my local so I can get like 5 sets of those for the price of Riptides and I can support the local instead of some longboarding company.
Thinking about getting a pair of aces, coming from indy 159’s, should i go with 55s or 66s? I ride 8.75”-9” popsicles and wider wheels(F4 conical full, OJ mini combo etc.)

[close]I will say, Riptides do offer a better feel when dialed in with your favorite bushings. And they never squeak throughout their life span.

New 55s. Debating taking some parts off, like the washers, or shaving down the bushings. Suggestions?
How are 44’s on an 8”? Am I right in saying you can run no inside washer because of the hangar shape?
Impish sausage is definitely gonna blow up as a euphemism this year
