Italodisco goes so hard

Never thought I'd see that written here.

Indeed it does. All disco does but Italo is a whole other ballgame.

House, techno, ebm (as in 1980s Western Europe EBM not that EDM shite, sorry), electro (actual electro)

I've enjoyed the Polar videos so far, hope this one keeps the momentum going.

Trailer ended abruptly, but still really looking forward to it

VIDYA GAMES / Re: Skate 4 Hype

Anyone who has been play testing can chime in on what the skating feels like to play?
I’m interested in how it compares in control scheme etc to the likes of Session.

The first time I popped out of nose manny probably with that little push that still feels amazing to this day.

Skating at MACBA and all the spots around there was something special to me as well.

I'll preface this by saying I don't have a tiktok account.
I used to think tiktok dances were cringe based on a knee jerk reaction. But now I'm just glad people are dancing. People in America have been so discouraged from dancing. We have been made to feel ashamed of dancing. Remember how they treated disco? I'm just glad anyone is dancing in 2024.

Disco was treated that way because it was a gay/black thing, sadly

this is very strange in my eyes.... The US to me is one place where dancing is absolutely encouraged, it's just everywhere. Commercials, movies, all over pop culture basically. what's more american than cheerleaders?? that's dancing.
let me add disco was also a very euro thing: Giorgio Moroder, the Munich machine, Abba, Boney M.
and as for every music genre, some of it was brilliant, some was horrible. Super corny. as a young punker kid, I used to hate it with a passion, but some of those Donna Summer/Moroder records made me change my mind. That and Chic! Bernard Edwards was a monster on the bass.

i bs flipped a 7, 5 years after i landed on it for the first time. i even did it 2 times, because the tape glitched on the first one and we lost the clip. second time took 10 minutes. it felt great. i bombed a couple hills that felt incredible, i live in a polish equivalent of SF so there's a ton of them and some are gnarly as fuck, i managed to hit some of those.

if we're talking monetary rewards - when i was 20 years old (so in 2020) i felt semi-pro, i used to win a bunch of stuff at local contests and i flipped all of it, at the same time i was delivering food on a bike part time (about 20 hours a week), half of my income was from that and the other half was from selling contest prizes. the bike paid rent, the skateboard paid for weed. i got something going with a local shop that sold magenta boards and they sold them to me for 50% off, about a month later i started getting clothes from another homie that hit me up after a contest, later on he'd hook me up with shoes and boards sometimes because he had some contacts, i got a few pairs of vans. shit fell through after a while, i still get sent a t-shirt here and there but those couple months were incredible.

Cattaneo being without a sponsor is a shame really. Dude is 30 apparently, pay him now, skateboarding!
I wonder if part of the problem is that he hasn't traveled to the US enough, to get his name out there? Did he ever come to the US??

Also yeah, Nyberg really does look like a young Vallely. And I like his skating too.... Plus using that Alpha Blondy was an awesome idea (reaggae singer from Ivory coast). Now that's an artist I really never expected to hear in a skate vid!!

They literally took the busenitz and redid them

Maybe everyone already knows and I’m late to the party

Adidas handball spezial is what they call this version of the busenitz
[close]
Busenitz are based of Speziale and Copa Mundial.

Crazy stuff how recycled a shoe application can be, the whole shoe is like a busenitz with a samba extra stitch

Now what really gets to me is if there’s any difference between the normal version and the supposed skate specific version, for example the asics Japan s normal vs skateboarding version is it just suede on the skate version?

And then the NB 480, the regular version to me looks exactly like the numeric version besides the numeric trims get tada more suede

Slim wheel gang, what are you riding these days?

Slim wheel gang is depressed and silent for the lack of slim wheel options these days.

Dunno if Bones V5 counts as "slim", but yeah. Best shape.
