Luan’s awesome. That switch hardflip looked crazy. The flick looked like really delayed almost? Hard to describe but I liked it.

It was cool to see a game where it seemed like both of them were doing serious tricks but having fun with it at the same time.

Damn I wanted to not care about batb but Luan games will have to be watched. Both these guys are incredibly talented but there's still an extreme contrast that doesn't make Kelvin look that great

I thought the same thing.  I think it’s the speed and pop Luan does everything with.  It just looks so much better.

Kelvin is such a weird skater. Can do like 5 tricks comfortably but manages to land almost everything somehow

Kelvin skates like he's wearing a diaper. Which ironically maybe Luan should do, he loves a bit of ass sweat

I appreciate that Luan both pops his tricks fully, and does them at speed.
Respect.

The hate on Kelvin is so lame. Dude is not a flatground skater as Luan. In other hand luan wasted his career only being a BATB skater weak video parts, but incredible flatground game. Luan could be one of the goats, what a waste of talent.

Wow, wish Kelvin would slow down a little bit, it’s hard to see the trick when he’s just a big blur shooting across the screen.

The forward posture landing also set it apart

So many unaswered questions,....

Why does Kelvin look so uncomfortable in his Board even when hes a top 5 contest Skater?

Where can find the latest Luan street Part?

Who brought all the hot chicks to the Park?

For which Board company kelvin even rides for?

I thought it was really sick that Kelvin made all 4 hardflips. Looked like he had been practicing those because they are difficult for him. Lots of genuine smiles in this one which was refreshing

i can't hate kelvin, as much as i want to.  dude hung on that long against arguably the best flatground skater to exist.  just a shame about his shoes.

Luan flat game reminds me of Crazy Legs Rock Steady Crew. He has that in your face bboy style. I prefer the Joslin method tho. It’s not as pretty but it’s so good. I’d say best is the berries. T pud or sewa‘a style being next

GodDAMN Luan! Dude skates like he constantly has a rocket up his ass. Fucking unreal, amazing match.

Couldn't have said it better. 3/4 of his tricks looked like he had no clue how to do them and the board just magically appeared under him.

Can you please give me a reference for this one. Never heard of that but it sounds hilarious. Props to Kelvin for the defense. I know his style and Cairumas are atrocious but he did a lot of tricks I wasn’t expecting him to land. And like others mentioned it wasn’t too stale or boring of a match. They had a fun/homie feeling to this one.

Respect to Kelvin. He clearly new that next to Luan he would look like a fool no matter what he did, didn't take it too seriously but still delivered a good game.

I’ve had that feeling before, playing a homie you know you have no chance against. There’s no nervous feeling, you know what you’re walking into so you just try to put on a good show for as long as you can. I’ve been Kelvin many times and even though I got my ass beat in the end I landed some shit I never try on my best days. Big props

Absolute crime for this to have been a round 1 matchup. Feel like they should have face off in the quarterfinals at least.

Its because of the logistics. In the scramble to try and salvage something of this they put them together because they're both euro. Think of it as the EU championship game.

I do think Giger was kind of taking it easy or "doing it for the content" and trying to extend the game a bit. He's got way more circus tricks than he pulled out here. He's got like the ultimate youkooker style/appearance/mannerisms/trucks but I don't mind him so much, his street part is actually not bad. That being said, I think the better man won.

Griffin is weird but he does shit that I've never seen anyone else do, there's a clip out there where he rolls up to a triple set and does a tre flip down the first set, tre double flip down the second, and then tre triple down the third iirc. It was one of those things I had to stop and go back to make sure I saw it correctly. I don't believe he's got a chance to win unless he goes straight to the circus shit every game though. I think guys like Joslin/Luan/Sewa will keep him on defense the majority of the time with their consistency and deep bag.
