I dig those Ave’s! Curious to see that “knit” or woven material in hand, if it’s actually some new tech or just a regular one... I think its time to step into that territory of fused knits with tpu for skate shoes. You can make some really cool shit and fuse panels together that would not blow out with abrasion.

I kind of like the bottom ones. I think it’s cool to see the tech through the sole. Also like that the jazz stripe isn’t stitched on them but welded.

Looks like Geoff and Vans are bringing back that wafflecup/rapidweld version of his shoe, which it seemed like a bunch of us liked. Pretty stoked. Thought it was dead after that one season.

Anyone have an idea on the sizing for these? In Vans I'm always a weird 9.25 size, so 9's kill MIGHT kill my feet but 9.5 feel like clown shoes and I get major heel slip.

TTS, I'm sz 8 but when I got them months ago I couldn't find my size so I went half bigger and heel slip is not a problem.

Normally 9s in Half-Cabs and other Vans but these fit small, I'd go a half size up.

If you look it's not actually the same sole as the AVE Pros which leads to me to believe it's just a different shoe with a very similar sole/look sort of how that Mod Slip On has a similar looking sole but it's different (and apparently harder). Although it could be an upgraded/new version of the AVE Pro, but I don't know why they would change the sole.

As far as the Rapidwelds go, definitely true to size. I just put them on at the shop, I wear 8.5 in every standard shoe and the Rowleys in 8.5 didn't feel roomy in the slightest.

If these aren’t actually upgraded ave’s they kind of remind me of the ultraranges that went out of production. Maybe like an ultra range 3 or something? Definitely interesting looking though.

Just looked on the DC site and none of Evan's models are popping up besides those hideous Hyde colorways. Is he leaving too after TFunk left not too long ago?

Do these have some reinforcement under the canvas? I tried skating a very similar green colorway on regular old skools once and the canvas lasted like one session.

Yep, and also the canvas on the Old Skool Pros isn't standard canvas. It's much tougher.

Yep, and also the canvas on the Old Skool Pros isn't standard canvas. It's much tougher.

big board + bigger sized feet still caused me to still get an Ollie hole under the vans swoosh right at the stitching on the canvas. Had to superglue. There’s some
Black layer underneath but just fabric type.

the evan model is done and he will skate the manual and hyde mostly.
