Strongly considering a twin tail slick deck specifically for a few lines I want to film this year. I'm old and more of means, so I can spoil myself like that.

Getting sketched out at buying one online, though. I just never know if I can trust online sellers - like is it actually a slick, or is that a typo in the title?

Its going to be really hard for me not to go down the whole soft slider 93a wormhole.

Eyeing some 56mm Radial F4s and 60mm Dragons....

...or get some viagra...

I went down that wormhole and never will again. Only way Ill put my dragon wheels back on is if Im skating a real crust spot that NEEDS them. other than that they are useless.... IMO atleast

As far as I recall the only TT Slick is the Opera 8.25 / 8.5, which I'm currently riding. The slick is pretty nice, been able to hold onto longer slides but not a game changer.

Oh yeah the Ishod 8.38 TT is also a slick.

Thinking about trying the Sambas. Anyone skate these? Skating NB 440 right now with annoying heel slip issues.

Im debating trying something else than my ace 55 to have a lighter 8.5 setup. Maybe waiting for Slappy light if it ever releases in Europe or thunder.
I also don’t know if it’s worth it as I’m only doing basic tricks and learning - even if I can afford it
I like the feeling of my trucks feeling loose (my ace are on hard bushing, a bit less tight than flush) and the short turns / surfy turns but I wonder if I lack a bit of precision and struggle with the weight (and a crappy technique is the ####1 issue obv)

The 440 original or V2's? I usually have heel slipping problems in a lot of shoes but haven't noticed it with the V2's that I just got.

Love my first set of formula four classics from last year and thinking of picking up some 58mm conical or radial fulls. Not sure which would be better for cruising around crusty pnw streets while still being able to get technical.

this reads like some bullshit on the radavist.

58 conical or radial fulls are not tech wheels, imo. to each their own.
also, in my opinion, for the crusty streets….a softer wheel is really helpful. so either dragons, soft sliders, or viagra. hopefully the viagra works for your technical, light single track

I've been itching to try the 90-93 duro wheels. I've been on 99D F4 spits for a while. I just started skating chocolate wheels that I got from the 2 board 2 wheel deal they have. And I can't stand these wheels. They say they are 99A but feel like they are much softer than they actually are. SUPER GRIPPY. Remind of the 99D spits that aren't F4 just the standard urethane pour in their cheap wheels. So skating the chocolate wheels with a little more grip just threw what ever hope I have of skating those softer wheels out the window. Maybe some dragons for a cruiser board in the future. But not for a board that i'm sliding, shuviting, or flipping.
We rode 7.5's" and didn't complain.

This probably sounds crazy but I am tempted to buy the new krux hollow lows. I love a lower truck and my crooks were on lock back in the day with krux.

Indy 215's. Or Ace AF1 80's.

I have a 10.5" Scram coming: https://northwest-skateboard-distribution-8760.myshopify.com/products/scram-self-possessed-2-deck-10-5

Can't decide. They will both be obscenely large. I do enjoy the turn of the newer Stage 4 Indy's - and apparently 215's maintain Stage 4 geometry? I also love Ace - I rode classics for years.

Might post this on the "Big Boys" thread.

I just got done with 2 pairs of Sambas and am trying some 440V2 now. The Samba look more classic, but the 440 are better shoes. The Samba flick was really nice for about 3 sessions until the toe bumper rubber was gone and they they kinda sucked and fell apart fast. So far the V2 feel thicker and I can skate the highs without really tightening the laces and get zero heel slip. In the same amount of sessions the flick area has way less wear and my heelflips are super on point. I will likely never buy another Adidas to skate.

My birthday is next month. Skating x97’s.

Wanna get the bark back, and go Spits 93a in 52mm classic.

Also, I’m feeling hella depressed about work with a manager who isn’t very supportive and isn’t really finding ways to use my talents, which makes me feel like he doesn’t think much of me.

Thinking of buying a bunch of shit I don’t need to make myself feel better.
I’m not letting my YouTube algorithm anywhere near that video.

damn - you can certainly be up front with the manager. There’s a chance he’s threatened by what you can do? Either way there’s something holding you back and that’s not in your best interest. Maybe don’t put it in his hands to find ways to use your talents, but show him and present to him how he could benefit with your talent.

I grew up on 93s/97s, once 99s were the norm, I never looked back; I don't understand why to go back softer. I live in some crust stuff too. Powersliding is a major part of my life, bc of traffic, braking is somewhat needed the way I skate and always did. Maybe soft wheels are better in park? Am I wrong thinking 99a is the pinnacle?

through the local to get them paid.

But if anyone wants to talk me out of any of these, I'm all ears.

Some guys on my sesh speak highly of the Beckett boards. They’re one of the only ones that’s says mellow kicks on the description.

Get old stock Madness, until they’re gone. I know you’re putting money into the wrong hands, but every boards meant to be skated.
I’m buying one from a pals stack as he can’t overcome all the boards himself.
Im too dumb to figure out how to make this drawing my profile pic.

Thanks for the mini review. Heel slip is my only issue with the V1’s, not a huge fan of the new N on the V2’s however

I think there's a place for both tools in a skater's life. I like the Ace tool for leaving in my car or in my bag to bring to the session, and I like the Silver tool for back at home when I'm usually setting up or taking apart boards and generally tinkering with my shit.
