I use my apple watch for all my workouts. I usually forgot to turn tracking on when I first start skating, usually lose 30min or so.

Same. First started to record the workouts when I was losing weight, now I don’t care much anymore, but still turn it on to make sure I don’t go over my max heart rate. (220-age=178)

What I wish they would add (and I’ve asked Apple before) is to add a distance tracking to the skate workout.

Yeah, distance would be rad...doesn't for just about all the other common 'traveling' type workouts (nothing for rowing either).

I'll probably use my Instinct 2 for skateboarding and get a proper running watch (Forerunner 265) with music so I can listen to stuff during my long runs. Sucks that Garmin doesn't have a skateboarding activity, I just have it as Cardio which tracks HR zones which is good enough.

Winning another SOTY purely from insta clips would be a huge flex all on it's own. Just make a compilation after the fact and that's it. In any case, his insta filmers do a better job than the obese william.

Cole showed up a few years back at our local park on a crowded day. Lots of teenage rippers there. He was pretty good and consistent but he was oddly almost trying to vibe with the groms giving them fist bumps and smacking his tail any time they did anything. You could tell they thought it was a bit awkward. I asked one of them "damn dude props from a SOTY that must feel good" and he said "I dunno man it's kinda corny like I'm kinda embarassed". He left a ton of product, including boards, shoes, and clothes and kids only took the trucks and wheels.

He's talented but his entire career felt kinda forced on us and incredibly corny. He's like a slightly more aware Joe Dirt.
