Glad he isn’t done.

That anecdote about him saying “Sorry, kid” after the game to Garrett Wilson got me in the feels.

Excited for the Eagles & Vikings tonight. Not sure how y’all get anything done during football season. Between college & pro ball , scary how much time just disappears

Yeah, I’m not complaining but the ~5pm kickoff times on Thursdays are pretty distracting haha

Hopefully the Birds can get Swift more involved tonight- in theory he’s pretty familiar that Vikings defense.  Also I think Jalen Carter and Philly D-line could potentially feast against this depleted Vikings O line.  Fingers crossed our injuries on defense don’t set up the Vikings pass catchers for too big of an onslaught…

you spoke it into existence

go birds sic em sic em woof woof

Haha that was so sick.  Best night of Swift’s life, I’m sure, rushing for 175 yds in the home opener for his childhood team

Great Game. I’m concerned about The Eagles new offensive coordinator . 2 top tier receivers , top 5 tight end , & arguably one of the best O-Lines in the league. Hope he gets his act together, he inherited pure gold

Philly is the Easy choice for the NFC imo. Offense is just too stacked… but I thought their defense was better? Did they lose key players? Can’t remember their rank last season..

We lost our DC and Chauncey Gardner Johnson.

And we were without Nakobe Dean, James Bradberry, Reed Blankenship and Avonte Maddox (for most of night) so our back 7 wasn’t at full power.  I think Desai is way better than Gannon as a coordinator already.  Refs kept that game way closer than it should have been.

SF and Philly are 1A and 1B I’d say, but I’m a Purdvert and I believe in the young Mr. Irrelevant.

9ers and the Jets are the most complete to me, but i think teams have enough film on Purdy to make proper adjustments…i say that after they smoked Pitt 30-7 (i took Pittsburgh’s D/st in fantasy sigh) lol so that’s actually a perfect grade. It’s SF Philly 1 a 1 b…

But if i can have anything, it’s Dallas to choke in either the wild card or divisional round…

Steelers D still put up some points at least, sometimes that's about all you can ask against a top flight offense like SF. I rolled with them for a large part of last year and have them in one of my leagues and they're shaky to watch (there is maybe no worse coached team in the NFL despite what the media likes to say) but there's enough talent that they get to the QB and force turnovers very frequently.

Watt is a threat to break the sack record again if he's healthy all year and Fitzpatrick is the best safety in the league even though he doesn't get a ton of love in the talking head shows. Losing Cam for 8 weeks might hurt their run stopping but they're in the wrong formation half the time anyways so it probably won't change much.

Im gonna give them another week or two before I switch to streaming.

In all fairness too, SF is a good team. Any defense will get gassed when the offense can’t stay on the field. I’ve watched the Texans since their inception lol

Thought this was pretty interesting…

“ In 27 of Canada's 36 games as offensive coordinator, the Steelers offense has failed to reach 20 points. The group has also never accumulated more than 400 yards in a game. ”

Yeah I can’t think of any current issues in government caused by electing some idiot because he could win college football games

Its so much worse than just that. He only has a job because he gave Tomlins son a full ride during the one year he had as interim head coach at Maryland before being fired for being terrible at it. In fact he's never been a successful coach anywhere he's gone and it's so easy to see why when you watch week to week. Pure nepotism at its finest.

People here either don't know about it or just tolerate it because we have a tradition of not firing head coaches. It's really sad that what is one of the most successful teams in history has been reduced to the mediocrity we've seen the last 3-4 years. With the talent on that roster they should be making playoff runs every year.

And you have the perfect interim/successor in Kellen Moore.  Need an offensive minded coach these days anyway, otherwise you usually lose them to another team as their HC.  Staley’s success with the Rams was quite overblown, no?  Wasn’t it Wade Phillips’ D basically?

all i know is Staley was hyped up to be some young defensive mastermind and our defense is atrocious. I agree that Kellen Moore is a good replacement cuz that dude is an elite OC. I don't understand how we can have so much talent on the defensive side and be no good. We need a change soon, and that probably means Staley. Also, Herbert's gotta be able to lead us down the field in crunch time. Dude's a beast but we have to win games asap.

You guys think Rodgers can get back in time for playoffs like he’s claiming?  Obviously conditional on Jets making playoffs in his absence.

Funny how now he embraces the marvels of modern medicine when he couldn’t be bothered before.

There's zero chance theyre making the playoffs unless Zach Wilson suddenly takes a massive, totally unexpected step forward. It was already going to be tough even with Rodgers. They're in a division with the Bills, Dolphins, and Pats who are all potential playoff teams in their own right and id pick all of them to beat them head to head as well.

Burrow is starting to worry me. It's like he's scared to throw deep balls anymore and just defaults to dinking without ever getting to the dunk. I'm doubly worried since Chase was my first pick in one of my leagues and half his game is slipping behind the zone.

James Cook looks legit as fuck. What's with giving both the rushing TD attempts to his backups? I bet he would have punched those both in with ease. If they're smart they'll feed him and ride him to the playoffs just like Minnesota did with Dalvin.

Had a shitty workweek. Mother in law dropped her preteen kids off for a couple days (they're great but a lot). My toddler is getting a cold and is incredibly fussy. Yesterday my girl decides to take them all to the museum and I get some rare alone time.

Cleaned up the apartment and threw some ice-cold water in the bong. Threw on my Lamar jersey. Got 5/10 stoned, got the Ravens game on. Ate some salami. Made a great cup of coffee. Ate the greatest cannoli I've ever had in my life. Watched the ravens actually make open field tackles. Watched the Ravens not drop deep balls. Watched the Ravens not gratuitously turn the ball over. Watched Lamar bail us out with his legs. Even got to watch Clowney make a near-goal line stop. Felt a sense of contentment and peace I haven't felt for years.

Nice and cozy rainy day with some Zaza, some good food, and the Ravens not disappointing me in the worst way. 2-0 baby

The first few weeks of every season are always hard to gauge. Usually by week 4 you have a good idea. Sabersim is pretty good but expensive if you’re into DFS.

Yeah I came across another angle of the injury and damn I can see why they chose not to replay on the broadcast. Such an avoidable injury too, not saying Fitzpatrick did it on purpose but there's no need to go that low when he was already wrapped up.

Yeah he's the first Brown I've liked/respected for a long time, and I know I'm not the only yinzer who feels that way. I think he's been the best pure runner in football for the past few years and you never want to see someone so incredibly talented go down like that.

Pretty sure that's the knee he blew out in college that made some people hesitant to draft him too, so I think the fear is he tore everything again. From the way it was bent I can't imagine the support structures aren't damaged if not destroyed, plus the way he didn't really react until he tried to move it and then started screaming makes me wonder if it wasn't pain he was responding to but the realization of what just happened.

Pickett was abysmal but man Watson looked so shit too. Totally worth the guaranteed 230mil they gave him....couldn't happen to a nicer guy or classier organization.
