Has anyone tried the new Heroin Anatomy of an Egg board yet?? It’s 9.4 and I’m interested but I don’t want a board I can’t flip. I had the Big Egg before and loved it but 9.4 seems too big

I have it and I don't have flip tricks but, I don't think it will be much of an issue due to the taper. It did feel like a boat.
Nothing I do deserves more than an iphone camera.

you finally come to the dark side of old man/ big shapes? I rocked ace 44s on my 8.75 Chico chocolate board and it was totally fine. It’s going to come down to how much taper the deck has around the trucks (Chico’s has tonnes on the nose end). Do you have a pair of 149s on hand? Chico DM-ed me the other day and said he ran his shape with either 149s or 159s. BUT judging by his recent footage he could literally skate any setup.
Do you want stability or ability to flip the board more? Another slap trick is to put two washers on the inside of the wheel to push them out a bit further.
I’d measure the width over the truck areas and then go from there 🤔
There’s a guy in the big boy thread with 148s on a 9.25 girl and it looks fine

I was going to just pm you n ask but I was being impatient.  I'm leaning towards 149's forged hollows as I will be on a mission to flip it .. ? It looks to have a bit of a taper

Yeah, 149s should do the trick. It’s 8.98 but probably only at the widest point in the middle of the deck. 159s would probably stick out a bit around the nose. Surely there’s a slap pal on here that’s set one up?

If you already have the deck why not just measure it? If not then approximate measuring can be done in an image editing software from a picture. Has worked fine for me at least.

Welcome antheme is a football shape too. 9" with a 14" wheelbase.

The crail power slide or whatever shape is interesting too. Sub 14wb on a 9 inch deck I think
[close]
You just made me look at crailtap.com for the first time in years. That powerslide board is 9.25 wide and the wheelbase is 13.875.

Anybody know what could be expected from that width + wheelbase? I dont have much experience with a smaller wheelbase, let alone a smaller wheelbase with that shape

Sick. I was contemplating it, but the sub 14" wb scared me off. How are you finding it? (I'm also on Aces, which contributed to the wb iffiness).

I too was hesitant about the wheelbase. Then I just said fuck it. Picked the Ace up on sale to try out, I typically ride Venture. But so far I really like it, took it for a spin in the neighborhood for a few minutes. Haven’t tried to flip it or pop anything yet as I wasn’t wearing shoes I usually skate in.

Been contemplating an egg, the specs of this guy appeal to me. What's the concave like? And what size trucks you rocking with it?

Really curious about this as well. Saw that shape and was immediately intrigued. I wonder how it is to skate.

Also, anyone that's been skating the Heroin egg boards, what size trucks are you running and what would be the most reasonable size/brand to use? Are you using small or large wheels and how is it skating one? Are flip tricks harder or easier than you thought?  I would love some details. Super curious about the decks.

ive run 159s and 149s indy on my eggs- not much difference there
anywhere from 54-53 down to fifty mm
shape works for me, didnt take much adjusting for flip tricks

love that shit

the Krooked HH is not a slick.

i have this board and an anti-hero black widow. fucking weird they are identical shapes, even though the blk widow is listed at 8.5". haven't ridden either yet.

I've only used it to cruise so far, but despite measuring 8.38", it feels super tiny (I usually skate 8.6-8.75"). The width across the bolt holes measure to 8", and the widest point is in the middle. The nose and tail are pointy. I'd say this would be a great shape if you exclusively do flip tricks.

Had a few days off and decided to try this out. The wheelbase is crazy, but in a good way.
I'm riding 159's on it and it doesn't stick out noticeably. 149's would be ideal, but I didn't want to buy new trucks for such a small difference. I've only skated flat ground so far, but super excited to fuck around on this thing.

Enjoi has a nice looking 8.75 R7 football/egg shape. Been kinda curious as to how Enjoi wood is. Never had a Dwindle board so I’m a little apprehensive on whether or not I wanna get it.
