9.25 BL snake n rat egg
159 hollows
big balls
52 bones 100s v4

fun shape, i like the 14.5 WB, but i'm a little thrown off by the longer tapered nose, especially in the shovel nose era. not sure of its intended function, i guess.

God, I’m in love with this shape.

I thought it was only 9” though? To my knowledge it’s just a slightly scaled down Cardiel football
Well I have like 9 Andy Anderson dated flight decks.

Can you measure length and wheelbase?

I think online measurements for this have been inconsistent

Man, this set up is going to make me grab a football once they restock. How have the 44 been on it? You think some 149s would be too much where it tapers?

My stack of "to be skated" boards consists of all eggs:

Girl 9.0" loveseat
Grimple 8.75" Gerwer egg
Frog 8.8" Alba egg

Been on a shaped board tip, psyched to set one up soon.

Does anyone know of an egg that's 8.25-8.5? I know there was that Krooked Cromer but I can't find it in stock anywhere.

Any other options out there?

Yeah, if AH puts out their shaped eagles again at any point the Black Widow was the 8.5" version of the Cromer snuff. Also I think Heroin might be putting out an egg in the range you're looking for at some point.

9.25 BL snake n rat egg
159 hollows
big balls
52 bones 100s v4

fun shape, i like the 14.5 WB, but i'm a little thrown off by the longer tapered nose, especially in the shovel nose era. not sure of its intended function, i guess.

I really want the white dipped version as my smaller wheel, mini-ramp/flatground easy rider. w/ some Ace 55s and 53mm wheels. Any more thoughts on the shape, what works with it, and what doesnt?
ok thanks

i've got the white dip sitting around too, looks better imo. i'm probably not the best guy to ask honestly, i have been mostly seshing my main popsicle board in the park. if you've ever skated an egg/football, then you kind of have an idea. they scoop and flip easier, with a little less pop as the downside. the things unique about this one are the longer wheelbase, mid to steep concave/kicks, rounded tail with a longer, pointy nose.

overall i dig the shape and think it would be good for what you wanna do with it, i have it set up similar to your description. only thing that throws me off is the tapered nose, i'm so used to seeing boards that taper the opposite way. maybe it makes it a little more nimble, at the expense of noseslides?

Crossposted in Setup.

So yeah, I am running a couple of setups and have some gear on standby. I dont really love the consumerism BUT I am working to find that goldilocks setup for me for skating my mini and learning on it...the primary problem being that I am a big ass dude and I am learning to control speed, and bringing down wheel size seems to help, also I need the board to be slightly more nimble, so I am down to a 14.5 WB...so without further adieu....and with much Shalom to @Freelancevagrant here's the Jake the Snake I just picked up.

Black Label 9" Jake Reuter dipped egg
Ace Classic 55s
52mm SML team wheels
Bronson G3s
1" hardware (UGH. I DIDNT HAVE ANY 7/8 THE MADNESS IS KILLING ME)
Mob
ok thanks

could be that the nose is smaller cause of the way eggs taper, so your foot is missing the flick or hitting it weird. or maybe you aren't used to a short wheelbase. either way i'd say keep trying, but don't force it.

I was going to say probably from the taper of the nose and the wheelbase. Try sliding your front foot back and angle it  towards the nose just a smidge more than your used too. When i first started skating eggs that’s what I had to do and make small adjustments there after.

It will click, and you will never look back.

Heroin doing a new top edge, not the razor edge all the way around but only a razor edge around the middle fat part of the board, it tapers and rounds standard at the nose and tail
