As someone who’s girlfriend is a survivor of DV and rape, I can tell you with certainty that the criminal justice system is slanted in favor of mediocre white men (especially if they have money) and away from actual justice. In fact SHE was the one that was incarcerated (psychiatrically, against her will and further deprived of dignity, privacy, and autonomy) because of how bad her trauma was. Fuck this country.
