I cant speak to her skating, but clearly she's impressing the right people with her formula. Doesn't the whole sponsorship thing boil down to marketability? How "good" someone is, is totally subjective anyway. As someone else pointed out, they think she can help them push units. It's not THAT cut & dry, considering the bonds and friendships that inevitably form, but that's the bottom line isn't it? If the image they craft around her can be deployed in their marketing efforts to drive sales, and grab market share, what difference does it make whether some people agree that she's worthy as a skateboarder? Not everyone will be in her target market, but it doesn't really matter if the person signing her checks "negotiating her mutherfucking deal!!"-(TK inflection) is happy with the ROI on her?
